Jamarion Hocker from @BooneRebels_FB is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week! @BCHS_Rebels1955 @BooneCoRebels @football_boone @1776Bank @KyHighFootball @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @HLPreps @kyhighs

Not every book can be judged by its cover. Jamarion Hocker, who looks more like an offensive guard than a QB, has demonstrated just how deceiving looks can often be. Hocker has darn-sure been playing like a QB and his stats are bearing out that particular point. Enjoy this feature about a junior QB who appears capable of doing it all and who also seems assured of being on a ton of recruiting boards going forward. They are quite possibly the ‘feel good’ story thus far in the ’22 football season in the Kentucky High School game. They are also (in our magazine’s opinion) the best darn football team playing 3A right now in the commonwealth. Before you dismiss this opinion, let us make our case…HB

Daniel Thomas from @BellCountyFB may be the most versatile Bobcat in the Bell County lair. @DanielThomas_4 @BoyGirls13th @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps @HLpreps @kyhighs

Hard to imagine a more versatile athlete on any high school football roster than Daniel Thomas from Bell County, Kentucky. Coach Hilton knows talent when he sees it and he knows how to deploy said talent. That is why he has won over 400-games as a high school football coach. Enjoy this look at a football and wrestling star in the Middlesboro, Kentucky area. HB.

Hopkins County Central players, James Posey, ’24, and Jacob Osborne, ’23, co-recipients of the @1776Bank ‘Revolutionary Player(s) of the Week.’ @HopkinsCentral @_CoachManning #SoundTheSiren @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @MaxPreps @PrepSpin

There are some skills at Hopkins Central compiling some auspicious numbers through four games. We shouldn’t forget there are some guys around the skills who have the job of thanklessly making this all happen. Two such guys, James Posey and Jacob Osbourne, are the focus of today’s feature and the co-recipients of this week’s Revolutionary Player(s) of the Week. Enjoy the feature. HB.

A familiar refrain around the Tiger program for decades, ‘Better call Doc Long,’…well, now it may be the Hall of Fame doing the ‘calling.’ @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @1776Bank @kyhighs

A lot goes into a high school football program’s being successful. You have to have coaching, administrators who care about the quality of the product, and medical personnel committed to keeping the athletic talent healthy and able to compete. Hoptown had that guy in its program somewhere around 20-years and for part of five separate coaching regimes. His name was Doctor Long. He was an institution unto itself on that sideline to coaches, players, and even referees. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Gavin Copenhaver is one tough hombre for CAL’s centurions. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @HLpreps @MaxPreps @centurions_fb

Gavin Copenhaver has committed himself to leading his centurions back to the very top of the 3A classification. Copenhaver is certainly doing his part to help the centurions scale that competitive mountain clear to the tip-top. Enjoy this feature about a senior RB/LB who appears capable of doing it all and who also seems assured of being on a ton of recruiting boards going forward. ‘The Deuce is Loose’ and making all the right decisions… @Deucebailey1 @QBHitList @minguabeefjerky @kyhighs @HLpreps @PrepSpin @1776Bank @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

Deuce Bailey is among the very best dual threat QB’s in all of the land, and we aren’t just talking about Kentucky. He has good size, tremendous athleticism, a fine, deft, and accurate arm, and even a 3.0 GPA. Yessir, that is called having all the tools. What will Deuce do against Boyle County this coming Friday? If the Purples want to stay in the ball game, the team better find a way to turn the Deuce loose out on that field and under the home field lights. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Markezz Hightower breathing rarified air for the Maroons. @MNHHS_Football @markezz_25 @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @1776Bank @kyhighs @HLpreps @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

Marquezz Hightower is following in some mighty large footsteps. He had a relative who was an all-state football player for Madisonville North-Hopkins, led Kentucky in rushing yards his senior year, was a Kentucky Future Star MVP (like Marquezz), and went on to play for EKU. What will Marquezz do? Well, we don’t exactly know for sure but, for right now, he is running the heck out of that pill for the Maroons. Enjoy the feature. HB.
