Not every book can be judged by its cover. Jamarion Hocker, who looks more like an offensive guard than a QB, has demonstrated just how deceiving looks can often be. Hocker has darn-sure been playing like a QB and his stats are bearing out that particular point. Coach Hilton knows talent when he sees it and he knows how to deploy said talent. That is why he has won over 400-games as a high school football coach. A lot goes into a high school football program’s being successful. You have to have coaching, administrators who care about the quality of the product, and medical personnel committed to keeping the athletic talent healthy and able to compete. Hoptown had that guy in its program somewhere around 20-years and for part of five separate coaching regimes. His name was Doctor Long. He was an institution unto itself on that sideline to coaches, players, and even referees. Enjoy the feature. HB.

Deuce Bailey is among the very best dual threat QB’s in all of the land, and we aren’t just talking about Kentucky. He has good size, tremendous athleticism, a fine, deft, and accurate arm, and even a 3.0 GPA. Yessir, that is called having all the tools. What will Deuce do against Boyle County this coming Friday? Marquezz Hightower is following in some mighty large footsteps. He had a relative who was an all-state football player for Madisonville North-Hopkins, led Kentucky in rushing yards his senior year, was a Kentucky Future Star MVP (like Marquezz), and went on to play for EKU. What will Marquezz do? Well, we don’t exactly know for sure but, for right now, he is running the heck out of that pill for the Maroons. Enjoy the feature. HB.
