@WestonLane_13 from @DCHS_Football is the Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance both has and continues to exceed both the Daviess County High School’s and Owensboro/Daviess County community’s expectations. Today, we are focusing on Class of 2020, LB, Weston Lane from Daviess County High School.

Lane’s Daviess County High School is located right down the road from 3 Independence Bank branches on 2425 Frederica Street, 2465 W. Parrish Avenue, and 3228 KY-54, respectively. Get on by and visit the most rapidly growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, Independence Bank. Independence Bank has started a revolution in the banking industry.

Daviess County started off the year with three straight losses. One of those was to a Class 2A Owensboro Catholic team. One has to admire the fact that when the Panthers get hot, they certainly get hot, and at the right time.

Daviess County will have to open on the road for the KHSAA, 6A Football playoffs. That is the bad news. The good news is they play a Henderson County team they know they can beat if they play well. The Panthers bested the Colonels, in overtime, 30-27 on October 18, though that game was in Owensboro as opposed to Henderson, Kentucky.

Weston Lane came up, big-time, the last time the two teams played. The 5-10, 210-pound LBer in the 2020 class had 16 tackles in the prior game. For his efforts, the Owensboro Times selected Lane its football player of the week after that game. We may not be the first publication to make Lane its player of the week and we probably won’t be the last.

With his play this season, and over his career, it was only a matter of time before Independence Bank and KPGFootball were going to “find” him. On the year, this LBer, who can play RB too, has recorded 111 tackles with 5 TFLs, a sack, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. He’s been all over the field.

Congratulations to Weston Lane for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
