Drew Hardin is among the better athletes playing football across Kentucky at the high school level. He is 5’11,” 165-pounds, doubles at safety on defense, and contributes to the return/coverage units on special teams. He is a three-phase guy on a 5A roster which travels to Winchester, KY tonight riding a 5-0 record. This one tonight against GRC is a big one. This usually is a pretty fun article. A few days ago we posted the “KPGFootball Scorecard.” On that document we memorialized the matchup and just who we believed would win and why. What we do in the scorecard is give you the solution. What we don’t do is demonstrate how we worked the problem. Thursdays, during the football season, we often publish an article which “shows our math.” If you read this article you will see why we picked the teams we picked to win and why we picked the teams we picked to lose. You may not agree and that is okay. We are wrong between 10-15% of the time. It makes for fine reading and generous discussion. Enjoy the article.

Christian Academy-Louisville product, Ja’Hyde Brown(’27), is indefensible…@JaHeisman, @CenturionAD, @Aspirationsgym, @eCampusdotcom, @bigassfans, @KHSAAFootball, @Cleats2Whistle, #Kentuckys #fletcherwlong #LeadershipLegacy #CoachingExcellence #MentorshipMatters #characterbuilding #SportsLeadership #BuildingChampions #kentuckyfootball #highschoolfootball #DisciplineAndDedication #athletics #successmindset #bookstagram #booklovers #fletcherlongauthor

Louisivlle’s Ja’Hyde Brown (Christian Academy-Louisville) is coming off quite a game for his Centurions against a 6A opponent in Hardin County, Kentucky (Central Hardin). Brown logged 6 receptions for 158 yards and 4 receiving touchdowns (receptions of 31, 51, 65, and 14 yards). He also returned a punt for a touchdown, totaling 5 touchdowns on the night. That is the type performance which leads a young player to the Atlantic Coast Conference and an NIL check to play for the homesteading Louisville Cardinals. Brown is a “Mr. Football” candidate and his candidacy is hard to argue against, except for the possible exception the team would be about as lethal with or without him, but that isn’t his fault. The Centurion roster is loaded with playmakers at about every position. Enjoy this look at a kid for whom the sky is literally the limit.

The Tiger Defense from the Christian County High program has been particularly stingy of late and is our Lasaters Coffee & Tea Player(s) of the Week for game four #Kentuckys #fletcherwlong #LeadershipLegacy #CoachingExcellence #MentorshipMatters #characterbuilding #SportsLeadership #BuildingChampions #kentuckyfootball #highschoolfootball #DisciplineAndDedication #athletics #successmindset #bookstagram #booklovers @KatherineL58069, @coachclsmit, @ChiefSmoke10, @LasatersCoffee, @bigassfans, @CoachJEzell, @eCampusdotcom, @HenryMi74881410, @HopHighTigers, @FC_FALCONS_FB

Through four games, the Tigers stand at 2-2, coming off consecutive road wins, and playing much better football by any estimation. The defense was particularly stout this past Friday night in the district opener for both schools, Christian County at Daviess County in Owensboro. The Tigers embark on an important stretch, coming home to play one of 6A’s better teams in South Warren before traveling to Lexington, the 25th of September, to play Frederick Douglass on “The Farm.” Obviously, if the young Tigers could split those two games it would be a huge boost to the team’s psyche and prospects heading into the end of the regular season and the playoffs. The defensive unit of the Tigers really played exceptionally this week to earn our Lasater’s Player of the Week Honors. Enjoy the feature.
