The Centre Colonels raised its record to 3-1 with a road loss to a very good Trine team its only blemish. Still, proponents of offensive football have to be concerned with how Centre is performing as the team just keeps imploding offensively. Can the defense continue to carry the ball club into the winner’s circle? Well, that is the $64 question, no isn’t it? HB.

Got an inquiry about a Jared Gobin and put out some feelers to my Western Kentucky correspondents about him. What I got back made me curious as to why we don’t hear more about him. Seems to me he is putting up All-State type numbers and, in the class room, he’s an ivy-leaguer. This kid will be signed and will play next level if he wants to, that I promise you. This may be the most important article we have published. There is a trend taking over the commonwealth of Kentucky and we love it. The trend, committing to elite academic institutions over waiting on D-1s to come-off with an offer, appears to be spreading and thank the good Lord for that. Look people, it is STUDENT-athlete and not student-ATHLETE. Let’s be smart out there and use our athletic talents to set us up with academic opportunities which set us up for rewarding, fulfilling, and comfortable lives.
