There is a QB in Kentucky who could win this award every week. QB is one which gets tons of attention owing to the nature of the position. We try not to award this to just the glory positions but we spread it around to the less glorious ones also. Every now and then a signal-caller has a night which just can’t be ignored. The night Polston had against the strongest program in the 3A Classification was such a night to us. Congratulations to Drew Polston and join us next week as we tee this up and do it all again. HB.

We give more attention to linemen than most publications of our sort. Mingua Beef Jerky has been supportive of these efforts recognizing the beauty is going about one’s business with little fanfare and letting the fruits of your labor speak for themselves. That is what they do with their one of a kind beef jerky. Enjoy today’s feature and join us again next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

If you have been reading our weekly “Outstanding Performances…” articles, the series of articles should have impressed upon you how very difficult winning this award really is. We had another spectacular week where there were numerous performances any one of which would have been a fine performance to single-out. This week, week two of the playoffs, we honor a senior who did a whole lot of everything in leading his team to its District Championship. This guy contributed to his team’s success in multiple phases of the football game. Read the article and see! Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

We had another spectacular week where there were numerous performances any one of which would have been a fine performance to single-out. This week, the high schools were off and the middle schoolers seized center stage. No one on that level of play thrust himself into a commonwealth-wide discussion any more forcefully than this week’s Protein-packed Performer. What do we mean by this? Well, read the article and see! Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

This was one of those weeks. We have settled on one, however, and we believe you will see exactly why. Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

Talk about your protein-packed performers, this 5-11, 190-pound RB/DB for Belfry High School (3A) had a quite a night this past Friday. Matter of fact, he’s having quite the year. We think he is a bone fide “Mr. Football” candidate. He’s been in the running every week for the “prize.” If a night like what he had Friday doesn’t get you a T-shirt and some beef jerky, it is hard to imagine what one has to accomplish to win the award. Enjoy the article and join us next week as we honor another worthy recipient. HB.

Hoptown’s Tigers lay to rest its brightest young football star…a town left in mourning I was not there when Elijah was Christened with the name of one of the most famous of all of God’s servants. I can only imagine he was so named in reference to the Elijah whose story […]
