This is another fine example of an undersized kid who rendered an unbelievable performance for his high school on Friday nights. Humphrey came darn close in ’21 to leading his team all the way to the 3A title. This week’s ‘Revolutionary Player’ may among Kentucky’s most highly decorated and recruited player in the ’24 class at the RB slot. If not the highest, he is certainly among them. He had a tremendous night against the Eagles of Graves County though, regrettably for his teammates and him, in a losing cause. Join us again a week from today and we will do all this once more. HB.

We just learned Brian Thomas will be back at Tilghman for the ’21 season. If his production should increase proportionately to how it increased from ’19 to ’20, our pick of “The Blue Tornado” at number two in the preseason Class 3A football poll is looking better all the time. If you have been reading our weekly “Outstanding Performances…” articles, the series of articles should have impressed upon you how very difficult winning this award really is. We had another spectacular week where there were numerous performances any one of which would have been a fine performance to single-out. This week, the high schools were off and the middle schoolers seized center stage. No one on that level of play thrust himself into a commonwealth-wide discussion any more forcefully than this week’s Protein-packed Performer. What do we mean by this? Well, read the article and see! Building up toward the Fall of 2020, which Commissioner Taggart assures us will come off, though when it will start is still hanging in the air somewhat, we continue to feature players we think will step forward for their respective teams. Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to continue the tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A and yesterday we projected Class 2A. Today we give you our projections for the next classification up from the lowest one, here is Class 3A!
