We are pleased to announce we are getting in the “Mustang business” this season, the Muhlenberg County variety. This is a program which is developing talent at an impressive clip and has a core group of young talent coming up from middle school ready to compete for “Friday Night PT” as 9th graders. Some of them have the frame, power, strength, and explosion to “plug in” and they will certainly have the guidance. Brighter days are dead ahead Greenville. We will be very pleased to bring it to you right here on our forum.

Klay Wilken, ready to seize the Stallion’s role in the Muhlenberg County Herd @CountyMustangs, @bigassfans, @minguabeefjerky, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball

We have learned about “Mustangs” and the herd mentality and society than we ever thought we would know. If we are going to cover Muhlenberg County this coming Fall, this knowledge will be right handy. This particular Mustang looks to be “The Stallion” of this particular herd. Wilken would be a solid choice for that assignment. He has all the physical tools necessary to fulfill the job description. Enjoy this look at a kid who should be bucking for All-State recognition at the end of next season.

Blast from the Past/Storm Warning: Beware of Cyrus Kington from Hopkins County Central @minguabeefjerky, @bigassfans, @ChiefSmoke10, @_CoachManning, @SylasGunn, @carlos_mason52, @HopkinsCentral

They were referred to in tandem most of the time. The Kingtons were among the most powerful and explosive players to ever play the game of football on Morton’s Gap. Today, principally, we take a look at the career of Cyrus Kington both on the gridiron and in the weight room. Enjoy this “Blast from the Past” and “Storm Warning” all rolled up into one.

Trevor Joiner from Muhlenberg County leading 5A in tackles @CountyMustangs @minguabeefjerky @840WHAS @KyHighFootball @sfitz_840whas @KyHighFootball

Trevor Joiner moved over from Butler County to play football at the 5A level with the Mustangs of Muhlenberg County. He has been playing with a cast on his left arm which has been recently removed. Joiner and the “other Trevor (Hardesty)” are both averaging over 5-yards a carry on offense. Look out for Josh Staples’s “Stands,” as they are getting better and better by the week.

The Storm have hit the ‘Mother Load’ with McNary and he’s running through defenses like ‘a bull in a china shop.’ @HopkinsCentral @evans02_mike @Yfnmcnary @KYFUTURESTARS @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @KyHighFootball @kyhighs @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @HLpreps

We have been covering Calil McNary for years. He was a 3X Kentucky Future Star. You will find those guys almost always end up HS stars too. That is certainly the case with McNary, as he has his team sitting pretty through its first three games (2-1) with Todd County calling this coming Friday night. Enjoy the feature. HB.

It’s time for weekly winners…here are some of our predictions concerning games of interest to kick-off August 23rd…

Throughout the season we pick weekly winners. It was one of our more popular segments a year ago. This year we will decide which games we cover based on our “hits.” Read us, you get covered. Ignore us, we ignore you. These are some Friday night match-ups in areas where we get a lot of views. We will come back in and pick some interesting Saturday night games later in the week.
