Gatorade’s slogan, or one of them at least is, “Is it in you?” That is a very appropriate question and one which bears on how this kid came to commit to EKU. Hensley’s father was a four year football letterman at EKU and both his parents graduated from EKU. Do you know what is in him other than a legacy to EKU? We think the Gatorade Kentucky High School Player of the Year. Give this man a Gatorade. Enjoy the feature. Friday Night Fletch

How does any program replace a Mr. Football in the offensive backfield. Well, when that program is Belfry, they do it with a young talent who has shown he won’t shy from having to fill shoes that size. It must stink having to play Belfry all the time. When does the endless wave of superior football playing talent ever ebb? Seemingly never. Enjoy the feature. HB.

It looks like Ky Galbreath is bucking to add his name to that of “Cameron Hergott” on the list of former 21’s, reclassified as 22’s, who have made the reclassification work for (as opposed to against) them. Many others haven’t faired nearly so well. We won’t know for a couple years for sure, but questions are already being asked. Was reclassifying good for players or not? This article may not answer the question but it does take a look at it. HB.

@jager_burton committed to @UKFootball and from @FDouglassFB is this week’s @minguabeefjerky “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank @coachnatemcpeek

If winning co-Mr. Football from the Associated Press isn’t worth this award and the prizes which come along with it, then what does one possibly have to do? All kidding aside, we have already awarded this distinction to Cameron Hergott so it is only fair Jager should get a T-shirt and some delicious beef jerky too. Enjoy this feature from our friends at the Mingua Beef Jerky Company. HB.

Kentucky Coaches vote @CamHergott24 from @BHSTigerFBall its “Mr. Football.” @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

Cameron Hergott won the Coach’s “Mr. Football.” He is also a former recipient of the Mingua Beef Jerky’s “Protein-packed Performer of the Week.” That should show you the Mingua people know their football! Here is an interesting look in this article about how a “Mr. Football” winner can only be “Honorably Mentioned” on the All-State team published by the same group which voted on “Mr. Football,” KFCA’s members. Enjoy the article. HB.
