It is time to break down the 2A classification and eCampus.com is as interested in this class as any other business entity in the commonwealth of KY. We picked LCA a year ago and people thought we were crazy. The Eagles return a ton of production and, all of a sudden, our prognosis doesn’t appear so far fetched. Beechwood welcomes back an all-time coaching legend to its sideline and also returns a strong Mr. Football candidate in Tyler Fryman. Owensboro Catholic, Belfry, and Breathitt all have stars, are very well coached, and figure to make a run. Enjoy this look at the 2A classification as we gear up toward the opener.

How many QBs throw for close to 4,000 yards with around 50-thrown TDs entering their junior seasons? You can count them on less than a single hand. We call these the Seven-Eleven. We have identified seven small school players and 11-large school studs all of whom will move the needle considerably this coming Fall. These are the guys who, if they are ’27s, will be in the “Mr. Football” race, and if they are younger will be serious threats for post season accolades. These teams are the teams who will make deep playoff runs, if not win championships, next season too. We will start out this all-state team with an admonition with which we begin every team we have ever published. We will miss on some guys. It is just important to note that your son not making out team doesn’t mean he wasn’t an all-state caliber player. Also, we expressly reserve the right to re-enter the team, even after it is published, and add worthy players who may have been missed or accidentally omitted. That being said, our small and large school All-State football teams, sponsored by Big Ass Fans, are the most expansive and complete teams in the business. This team here, and the coaches’s team published by the Courier Journal, are the only two legitimate teams in existence and we believe our team to be much more complete and legitimate than even theirs. Congratulations to the players who made the team and congratulations to the wonderful world of Kentucky high school football for providing us with the endless thrills and discussions we net from our following this, the greatest game on earth.
