Parker Chaney has long been one of the definitive WR’s in Kentucky. He plays a mean DB and is wonderful on the diamond for the baseball version of the Eagles program. We are approaching round four (4) in the KHSAA playoffs. All of these teams left standing are very good. There are exactly no bad apples left in the barrel. It will be the “little things” which differentiate between winning and losing at this point. “Mighty Mayfield” has themselves the home field and a kicker in Lincoln Suiter who has before come through for the Cardinals in a “big game,” with the game on the line. If called upon, Friday night, will he come through once more? We shall see, but the Cardinals are confident. Enjoy the feature. HB.

There are numerous stars ladening the LCA football roster and some “up and comers” of whom you may not even know presently destined to be stars. Still the straw which appears to stir the drink of the ’22 version of the Eagles football team appears to be this Will Nichols kid. There is very little about him online and we had to work hard to bring you this report. We promise you, we dug harder to get this article published than any college coach is going to work to find him or any other “under the radar” player out in the commonwealth. We have covered Frankie Knight since he was a middle schooler setting the curve in the 40 at the Future Stars combine. He is still fast as his work on the track as a sprinter would suggest. We have made it no secret we enjoy publicizing the players who rarely get any publicity, the offensive linemen across Kentucky. Well, if I were putting together a line of scrimmage from all of the linemen across the commonwealth of Kentucky to play a football game, the Big Nashty would be prominently discussed as a starter on this line. This kid has garnered an early offer from the most prestigious liberal arts college in the commonwealth which also has a fantastic football program. There isn’t a hotter college recruiting Kentucky and surrounding states right now than the Colonels from Centre College. Vaught is just another reminder of this fact. This kid is a top-tier, high-school performer and one of the elite players in Lexington, Kentucky. This article should explain it well enough.

With all of the talent already there, guys like Tyler Morris, Xavier Brown, Anthony Johns, and Mason Moore, plus the guys reclassifying like Drew Nieves and Mattie Lebryk, it is hard to imagine the Eagles having any need in the lineup. However, they are attracting it anyway. RB Jeremiah Riffle from WV has moved in and will compete for a spot in the offensive backfield behind some of the best OL talent the Kentucky high school game has at its disposal. Man oh man, are they going to be a difficult obstacle in ’21. Enjoy the feature. HB.
