This player has made every All-Whatever Team available to him in his short HS career and figures to keep making these teams. He has the nose for the football one would expect from a kid whose dad (Shorty Combs) is considered a mountain football legend and former EKU linebacking star. We love to come up with something clever in the title. Daulton Tarter’s name lends itself to “Tartar Sauce” references easily and we decided to go with that. Kory Combs (’25, Breathitt, LB/FB) and Blake Evans (’25, Bell County, LB/FB) appear to be friends. This would make perfect sense as the two of them are the best two LB’s in the Appalachia mountains in their graduating class. We have featured Combs many times. Daulton “Bubba” Tarter is long the very best and brightest linebackers in Kentucky’s ’26 class of prospects. At 5’8,” and 180-pounds we haven’t the foggiest how his frame is likely to finish. We know this…he’s a 215-pound bench presser, a 375-pound back squatter, and a 2X Kentucky Future Star Defensive MVP entering the frosh campaign. Will he be a star at the HS level? No doubt! HB.
