April 1, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

Every list ever published extolling the ability of any body of people have had people undervalued on the list, people overvalued on the list, and people glaringly omitted. No list is perfect. BoyleCo has done yeoman’s work here, and while we may not agree with the order, we can’t argue with any of the thirty he listed. We can and will give our opinion…and here it is. Enjoy the article. Louisville’s Kiyaunta Goodwin ready to bang with the big boys!

August 8, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

When Phillip Fulmer, now the AD at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, but once a National Championship winning football coach at the same school, met Kiyaunta Goodwin he exclaimed it was like being in the movie “The Blind Side” a second time. That movie featured the coming of age of Michael Oher who went on to become one of the NFL’s marquee tackles. Of course Michael Oher was only 6-4, 315-pounds. Kiyaunta Goodwin is 6-8, 350. Regardless, Kiyaunta has been favorably compared to such greats for years now and has the opportunity, this season, to come of age and really showcase what he can do. You see, the player formerly playing 1A football for Holy Cross has now transferred to Louisville’s Ballard High School (6A). Enjoy the article.

This is part three of our three-part series “Wandering through the wasteland…” Today we predict the district winners in Classes 2 and 1A. This concludes our series. I would mention Fletcher Long, formerly a writer here at KPGFootball and now working for Bluegrass Sports Nation called and said some coaches have taken strenuous exception to this analysis. To those offended, I am saddened you take offense. Still, we strive to be true to our craft and our opinion is just that…ours.

You know the drill; better get it around today while it’s free because tomorrow it goes behind the paywall.

Gavin Foushee, WR/FS, Class of 2019, Holy Cross

Holy Cross High School kind of turned it on last season, late in the year, in beating consecutively Clinton County, Fairdale, and then winning on the road in the playoffs at Ludlow, before traveling to take on Kentucky Country Day, which didn’t go so well. The Cougars, from Class 1A, District […]
