We are doing something a little different this week. This week, we are scouting the opening opponent for the Christian County Tigers and forecasting a winner. This was shot around the table at our weekly editorial board meeting and wildly and excitingly discussed. The Longs like the Tigers in the matchup and the remaining table liked the Jaguars. There will be those who will tell you the newly consolidated “Tigers,” from Christian County High, will go as far next season as players like TJ Booker can lead them. Booker is a talent and played six (6) games a year ago for the Christian County Colonels as only a freshman. The newly consolidated school shouldn’t hurt for talent and the Tigers are amassing an array of coaching talent to “put the team through its paces” in its upcoming inaugural season. Regardless, young guns like Booker will be critical. Good thing he is also extremely talented.
