KPGFootball’s take on the preseason Top-30 offensive linemen list

April 1, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

Every list ever published extolling the ability of any body of people have had people undervalued on the list, people overvalued on the list, and people glaringly omitted. No list is perfect. BoyleCo has done yeoman’s work here, and while we may not agree with the order, we can’t argue with any of the thirty he listed. We can and will give our opinion…and here it is. Enjoy the article. Logan Smith, Class of 2021, the reason why…

We love to scour the statistics and then glorify the skill players who compile them. Many of these skill players become our heroes, our kids’ heroes. We forget that Johnny QB or Johnny RB didn’t just run out on the field and run over the defensive 11, single-handily. Someone or 5 particular “someones” have to bust their butts for recognition from only the most knowledgeable few. We love offensive linemen at KPGFootball and Logan Smith is one of our favorites Kentucky-wide. Corbin is very good offensively and the Logan Smiths along its OL is why. Enjoy the article. HB

Is Owen LeMaster, Johnson Central, Kentucky’s best interior OL in the Class of 2022?

At KPGFootball, we can’t be higher on any young interior offensive lineman than we are on Owen LeMaster. This kid is a bull in the tradition of an Ethan Wolford or even an Andrew Clifton. Heck, he even kind of favors Clifton. We feel LeMaster is the best OG in Kentucky in the graduating class of 2022. If we were selecting a football team from that class, he would be our first choice at the guard slot from out of all the guards playing Kentucky football presently. @Jon_Nalley, Class of 2021-Daviess County, is certainly a long, tall drink of water

You’ve heard the saying someone is a long, tall drink of water. Well that saying seems appropriate for Daviess County’s Jon Nalley. Nalley plays left tackle for the Class 6A Panthers and is 6-6, weighing 280-pounds. He is a Class of 2021 prospect for whom we expect the recruiting trail to heat up considerably in very short order. Read about this prospect ranked by Bluegrass Rivals the 17th most highly regarded OL in all of the commonwealth. You know the drill, you have 24 hours from its being posted to read it free, other wise you’re buying it. HB

Class of 2021’s Jager Burton (@jager_burton), Frederick Douglass

BoyleCo has published a list on Bluegrass Rivals detailing whom he believes to be the 30 best OL in Kentucky High School football. He has taken some heat for it. People, or outlets, who compose lists always take heat. However, this guy has logged 100s of hours on this list, compiling it over the last year. He did a fabulous job. Our list would look very similar. Some may have been in different slots, like Jager Burton (who we would have had higher), today’s feature. However, the 30 he listed would have been on our list too. Enjoy the article.
