It is STUDENT-athlete, not student-ATHLETE; the migration toward elite academics over the football factory

June 20, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

This may be the most important article we have published. There is a trend taking over the commonwealth of Kentucky and we love it. The trend, committing to elite academic institutions over waiting on D-1s to come-off with an offer, appears to be spreading and thank the good Lord for that. Look people, it is STUDENT-athlete and not student-ATHLETE. Let’s be smart out there and use our athletic talents to set us up with academic opportunities which set us up for rewarding, fulfilling, and comfortable lives.

The Wesleyan Way is getting a ton of travel…

Kentucky Wesleyan hit it out of the park in getting talent to its prospect camp today. KPGFootball was pleased to send someone there to cover it. Our guy sent back pictures for our use and had pretty thorough notes on what he saw and what stood out to him. Enjoy this article about what transpired in Owensboro today as one of Kentucky’s hottest college football programs strutted its stuff for the finest collection of Kentucky HS gridiron talent we have seen in any one place this entire combine season.

@TrentonTuttle2 is the Stewart Williams Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week

May 16, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

We have before awarded this to Trenton Tuttle but after having the opportunity to get to see him at combines over the previous two weekends we were compelled to give it to him another time. This kid is tough, competitive, explosive, and a blue collar type hard worker. We love Trenton Tuttle-types both at Stewart Williams Furniture and at KPGFootball. Join us next week as we select another recipient.

Interior offensive linemen are the grunts of a football team. They do all the hard work and never hear their names called unless they really screw the pooch. At the end of the day, the best thing one can say about an interior offensive linemen’s performance is I completely forgot he […]

August 6, 2018 Fletcher Long 1

We know both Rivals and 247Sports.com have come out with top lists for the rising sophomore class of Football prospects. So what differentiates ours from theirs? Well, the answer is elementary my dear Watsons, they are ranking kids based purely from off of reputation and how they looked running around […]

Boyle County’s Tanner Crawford

May 27, 2018 Fletcher Long 0

I remember it like it was yesterday. I had gone down for the Tennessee Regional of the Blue-Grey All-Amiercan High School game.  I was down there to cover it for KPGFootball as the Blue-Grey didn’t have a regional set for Kentucky and I figured Kentucky would have quite a few participants. I […]
