I don’t know whether you have seen class of 2019, Harlen Zirker’s, junior season Hudl highlights. If you haven’t, I have linked them below for you to watch, if you have a strong enough stomach. His highlights can be best described in one word, Damn! The 5-9 and 245 pound, interior defensive lineman, doesn’t tackle people, it looks more like a WWF Super-slam. Zirker had 84 tackles last year with an incredible 27 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He also caused 6 fumbles, recovering one, and also had an interception. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention he blocked a punt against Lexington High School in the playoffs. Zirker made the All-County team, the Nashville area all-Region team, and, just yesterday, was recognized as the defensive line’s MVP at the Tennessee Regional of the Blue-Grey All-American Combine. Basically we are giving Zirker this award in the hopes he won’t come by the store and hurt us….just kidding, he’s a fantastic guy!

As for college prospects, Zirker has handled all parts of the equation he can…he’s a terrific player. While his frame may not be ideal, just pop in his highlight reel, and I believe you will find someplace you can use this guy. We, here at KPGFootball would sign him to a FCS level school (at the very least) without any hesitation. Please don’t unleash this beast on any league any lower than D-1, we don’t want anyone getting hurt.

Congratulations to Class of 2019 Harlen Zirker from Springfield High School for being selected this week’s Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Reporting for KPGFootball, this is Fletcher Long reminding all of you ballers out there to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE.
