We may have to start calling this article “The Race for the World’s Finest Beef Jerky.” We had scouts all over Kentucky this weekend and they saw some impressive individual efforts. We used to call him “Big Bear” when covering him for Team Kentucky while he was in Middle School. He asked us not to so reference him that way so we quit. Now that he has grown into a literal grizzly, he has given us the go ahead to call him that once more. We are thrilled. He is one of the digital magazine’s very favorite players. Read why. HB.

In what has become a tradition at KPGFootball, we have been publishing our end of the year, MS, Freshman, and Sophomore All-State teams. They are the only teams of their like in Kentucky High School football history and we work tirelessly on them. We are coming to the end of this series. Today, we publish the sophomore offense. Keep checking the site for the defense, on which we are still working. If you have a player who you believe should be on here and he isn’t, odds-are he wasn’t nominated by one of our subscribers. Coach Lyon’s Class 2A, preseason Top-10 Football Poll…

Someone contacted old Coach Lyon and asked when we were going to put out our preseason top-10 football polls for each classification. Well, today seemed like as good a day as any to continue the tradition. Since KPGFootball started with the top classification when picking district winners, this time we started with Class 1A. Today we give you our projections for the next classification up from the lowest one, here is Class 2A!

This is part three of our three-part series “Wandering through the wasteland…” Today we predict the district winners in Classes 2 and 1A. This concludes our series. At KPGFootball we admire the players who kind of have to work for stardom and then do. Anthony Johns has a good frame which appears likely to still be lengthening but his is not the best OL frame we have seen. However, his attention and dedication to strengthening, conditioning, and doing even the little things the right way is among the best we have seen. There aren’t any players in the Class of 2022 which work any harder than this one. Enjoy the article about a young man who so richly deserves anything good which comes his way.
