We continue on with our offseason coverage not really discussing players of the week so much as discussing featured players and prospects. Aiden Baxter is simply among the better freshman defenders and football talents in the Kentucky-wide, KHSAA football game around the western part of Kentucky at his level of play. Baxter came on our radar with his play last season in his freshman year gaining Friday Night PT on a roster good enough to post a 14-1 and make the 2A title game. Since then, Baxter has done nothing but confirm we were all right about him from the beginning. Baxter is only going to improve over his sophomore season, particularly with more opportunities and in multiple phases of the Tiger-attack. Baxter is the kind of kid coaches want to coach and, in the end, that may be the finest compliment which can be paid to him (or any other kid). Enjoy the feature.

Not a lot of athletes around the KHSAA so sufficiently athletic to warrant the nickname, “The Bear.” Here are some facts about bears you might not know. According to Google, “Bears are exceptionally athletic and powerful, capable of running up to 35 mph (56 km/h), even on uneven terrain. They possess immense strength, with specialized muscles for digging, climbing, and swimming. Despite their bulk, they are surprisingly agile, quick to accelerate, and can maintain high speeds over long distances.” All of this sounds eerily like Ariyon Stills-Carter, who (not so coincidentally) is nicknamed “The Bear.” Our Bear is 6’0,” has been listed as high as 230-pounds, and can play both MLB and RB. Munsey came up from middle school among the commonwealth’s more talented players and has done nothing but confirm we were all right about him from the beginning. Munsey is only going to improve over his senior season, particularly gaining multi-phase deployment where he should get many more opportunities. Munsey is the kind of kid coaches want to coach and, in the end, that may be the finest compliment which can be paid to him (or any other kid). Enjoy the feature.

Not all of the great football players across the commonwealth of Kentucky have the greatest of frames. Aiden Blanton isn’t going to wow anyone with his stand-up size. However, this kid is all ball player and his strength/power numbers are right impressive. Blanton has plenty of speed (4.7-second, 40) and quicks (4.3-second, pro-agility shuttle) and is bouncy (34-inch vertical) to boot. We believe this kid will have a monster year upcoming similar to the hugely productive year he enjoyed in 2025. Enjoy this look at one of the better linebackers in the commonwealth of Kentucky a year ago and a player to be closely monitored in 2026.
