Well, scrimmages are in full swing. This time last year, a 4A team I had predicted would struggle tied a 5A power in a scrimmage which made the 4A coach scream all over social media that I was a complete idiot. The 4A team went 1-9, the 5A team challenged for the title at its level of play. Obviously, that scrimmage was meaningless. Well, Friday night Johnson’s Apollo squad pasted Logan County, at 4A team usually in the hunt. What does it mean? Does it mean anything? We’ll discuss. Friday Night Fletch.

This is a kid many believe may be the definitive running back in the commonwealth of Kentucky in the class of ’25. He gained close to 1,900 yards a year ago and added another couple hundred receiving. His Central team is yearly in the running for a title in its classification and we don’t believe ’24 will be any different. Enjoy this feature and and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor. Storm Warning: Three weeks from the season opener a freshman is pushing for time, there has been some staff shake-up, and Central sees a pathway to 7-wins…

Coming into the season we have a variety of news to report. First, Cajun Hayes is looking like we predicted back on May 24, 2024. He is pushing for starter’s reps and has looked fantastic, particularly after the hitting started. Central has lost some coaches. Our Morton’s Gap agent tells us he sees a pathway to seven or eight wins this regular season. Enjoy this installment. Friday Night Fletch.

Who wins 4A? Better find a storm shelter, a Blue Tornado looks like it is on the way! @pths_football, @BCRebelFootball, @FootballJCHS, @Tomcat_football, @CovCathFootball, @PCCHSFootball, @AlPopsFootball, @minguabeefjerky, @840WHAS, @sfitz_840whas

Surely, Boyle County can’t win 4A every year. They are coming off a four-peat looking to five-peat and they have a very good chance. However, there is a leviathan building on the western-end of Kentucky and it is hungry and ready to be let loose. Enjoy this look at 4A. Friday Night Fletch.
