’26 ATH ranked among Kentucky’s best and set to ‘take off’ in 2024

They have had some great football players grace the field at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky. Logan Music just looks to be another in a long and distinguished line. Music is a 6,’ 170-pounder who has been clocked at 4.64-seconds over 40-yards. He gained nearly a thousand yards in under a 100-carries as a sophomore and was the club’s 2nd leading receiver and its 4th-leading scorer. Heck, he even tallied an INT. Music, who carries a 3.7-GPA, will get lots of interest from next level opportunities going forward.

Paintsville, KY: Migua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.

Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.

Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.

Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Logan Music, ’26 ATH from Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky.

…[S]omething different and superior to all other beef jerkies…

“KPGFootball” on the quality of Mingua Beef Jerky products

Every time I watch Logan Music play football for the Johnson Central High Eagles I think of the Kiki Dee Band song from 1974, I Got the Music in Me. I am sure you are familiar.

Logan Music

Lyrically, the song starts out, “Ain’t got no trouble in my life/No foolish dream to make me cry…” isn’t that fortunate? It goes on to lyrically suggest this narrator is never frightened and always seems to get by, without worry, because [after all] she, “…has the music in [her].” Well, that’s nice!

The best couplet in the lyrics [my opinion] is “I heat up, I cool down/When something gets in my way, I go ’round it.” Now if that doesn’t remind you of Johnson Central’s ’26, rising junior, Logan Music, you haven’t been watching much Eagles football. Statistically, especially for a sophomore playing Kentucky 4A, Music enjoyed quite the season in ’23.

Music gained 813-yards rushing in ’23, his sophomore year, and only carried it 93-times

KHSAA Statistical Website

Logan Music is listed as a RB/DB on the Eagle roster. In ’23, as only a sophomore, Music demonstrated quite a bit of versatility. Music ran for 813-yards from scrimmage, carried it 93-times, scored seven (7) TDs rushing, was the team’s 2nd leading receiver, 4th leading scorer, and logged an INT.

In the football industry, we call that “being an athlete (ATH).” Music is listed by Prep Redzone as Kentucky’s 52nd best football player in its ’26 class overall, and its 11th best “Athlete.”

Music is six-foot tall, weighs 170-pounds, runs the 40-yard dash in 4.64-seconds, and carries a 3.7-GPA. Those type numbers, coupled with his on-field production, will certainly put him on some collegiate dance cards going forward.

Till then, he’s just “[g]onna take it the way that [he] found it.” Sorry, we couldn’t resist!

Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Johnson Central High’s, Logan Music.
