@NStotts58 (Nathan Stotts), Louisville Male, Class of 2020, covering the QB’s back-side

In expectation of the coming football season, KPGFootball intends to continue to highlight top performers as we matriculate on into the Fall. One of the top offensive linemen in Kentucky, preseason, is Louisville Male’s Nathan Stotts.

Stotts is a 6-4, 270-pound offensive tackle aligned for the most part at left tackle where most offensive schemes align their most athletic lineman. Nathan, who has registered a 5.2-second, 40-yard dash and a 5.0-second short-shuttle, certainly fits that bill.

Stotts is plenty strong, being a 325-pound plus bench presser made even more impressive by his 6-5 inch wingspan. Nathan is really having to take a lot of weight a long way down and a long way back up to complete the lift. That is a common lament among the long-armed football players. It certainly makes sense to us.

Nathan has camped all over the place this offseason from Murray State and Easter Kentucky to the University of the Cumberlands and Kentucky Wesleyan. Stotts has really been making the rounds. Nathan has impressed everywhere he has been.

Stotts couldn’t be better prepared for college football either. He plays currently for a team which won the 2018 State Football Championship in Kentucky’s largest Classification (6A) going 14-1 in route to the trophy.

Louisville Male High School, in 2018, played Trinity twice, Saint Xavier twice (losing on October 12th and winning in the playoffs on November 16th), Scott County, Ballard, Butler, DuPont Manual, and North Hardin. There is not a lot in the way of big, fast, athletic and physical athletes he isn’t already accustomed to both seeing and blocking.

We hear at KPGFootball, Nathan Stotts wants to be a Wildlife officer and is guided both by a strong work ethic and his Christian faith and conscience. These, together with his obvious physical attributes, are exactly what a team would want protecting their QB’s back-side from ambush.

Stotts has been unofficially ranked the 11th best OL in Kentucky entering the 2019 season. This is a guy who we believe will play Division I college football either on the FCS or non-power 5 FBS level. We could also see Stotts elect to play on ether the D-II, D-III, or NAIA level but only if presented with an enticing academic opportunity to fulfill his long-term career goals.

This coming Fall, Nathan Stotts will be back at his customary left tackle slot once again protecting the QB’s blind-side. That is very good news for the Male Bulldogs as Stotts, at least in the high school game, is pretty close to a sure thing when charged with covering a QB’s back-side.
