As you are aware, we both have and continue to cover Clarksville, Tennessee talent, and talent from the Clarksville metropolitan area, as part of our coverage largely because we are principally based in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Hopkinsville and Clarksville comprise one metropolitan area in spite of one city being in Kentucky and the second laying just across the Tennessee state line. Well, we are proud to have partnered with the law firm of Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys to feature a weekly article promoting a Clarksville-Montgomery County area prep football player. Heath Williams is a 6-1 195 pound dual threat QB at Clarksville’ Northeast High School. The 2019 QB threw 236 passes a year ago (2017), completing 149 (.631 completion percentage) for 2,372 passing yards in 11 ball games. Williams averaged 215.6 yards passing per contest and threw 29 TD passes against his being intercepted only 10 times for a 2.9:1 TD/interception ratio. Northeast, with Williams at the helm, finished the season 7-4. William had one of the highest QB ratings in all of Clarksville last season at 118.5. Now, the Eagles look to be loaded and poised for a deep run in 2018. In addition to the return of Williams, the Eagles return a 1,098 yard rusher in 6-1, 240 pound bruiser Tyrique Freeman who is a Class of 2019 prospect in addition to adding transfer Fred Orr. Now Orr, last year running the ball for Class 6A Rossview, gained 1,420 yards rushing in 190 attempts with 21 rushing TDs. This just constitutes a tremendous amount of weapons and options offensively for Coach Chad Watson and his offensive football team.
We are very proud to award to Class of 2019, QB, Heath Williams, this week’s distinction as the Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys, Montgomery County Player of the Week. KPGFootball continues to look forward to our partnership with Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys as we both continue to publicize and promote all of the fine young football players in and around Clarksville, Tennessee. Congratulations to Heath Williams for being our Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys, Montgomery County Area Player of the Week!
