Hopkinsville’s Denarius “Red” Barnes (2020) is the Meeks & Meeks Montgomery County area Player of the Week

August 16, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Red Barnes has been a favorite of ours since he transferred to HHS from Wonder Junior High in West Memphis, Arkansas to play his sophomore season. He is one of the best defensive linemen in the Class of 2020 and one of its leading citizens too. This is a kid who we believe is a college football player (no doubt) but isn’t likely to be positioned in college where the Tigers have deployed him. The fact he has thrived along an even defensive front, though undersized, buttresses everything good about his ability we have consistently maintained. This kid is a winner and a player who makes teams for which he plays better teams. Can’t complement any young player anymore than that. Enjoy the article.

Here is a Clarksville area prep player who has opted to play for a Nashville private school football power though he still resides in Clarksville, Tennessee. Well going into his sophomore year it appears we knew about what we were talking this whole time. Enjoy this look at a player whose best football is ahead of him and we mean immediately ahead. Check back in with us next week as we recognize another, worthy, Montgomery County area player brought to you by your friends at the hometown, home-owned, Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys.

Here is another guy who doesn’t really appear anywhere on line or in the stat books. Yet, with his frame and other athletic attributes, it is an easy prognostication he will have a break out junior season for the Hawks in the upcoming Fall. Enjoy this look at a player whose best football is ahead of him and we mean immediately ahead. Check back in with us next week as we recognize another, worthy, Montgomery County area player brought to you by your friends at the hometown, home-owned, Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys.

@ClarksvilleFB’s Wyatt Thornton, Class of 2020, is the Meeks & Meeks Attorneys Montgomery County Player of the Week

June 22, 2019 Henry Lyon 0

Most of the players who get the publicity for the Clarksville Wildcats are offensive linemen. Who can blame the media for that? CHS may have the finest group of 2020 OL assembled on one team in Tennessee. Still, for CHS to have the success it wants and maybe should, the DL has to “show up” too. Today’s Player of the Week will be instrumental this Fall. If Clarksville can get consistent play out of Thornton commensurate with what they have seen from him in flashes…look out! Enjoy this look at our Meeks & Meeks Montgomery County Player of the Week and join us next week as we crown a new recipient.

Javion Rivers from Kenwood High School is the Meeks & Meeks attorneys Montgomery County Player of the Week

May 17, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

Not a lot about this prospect as we couldn’t even find his height and weight anywhere on line. Just another example of why what we do at KPGFootball is so vital for these kids. We were able to watch his film and believe he will be back at Kenwood for the Fall of 2019 as he was listed on Kenwood’s 2019 roster and there were several other references to him on line coming back for the Fall season. This is the type of player a new coach can definitely impact and if Les Greer brings to the table the attributes which got him the job, this player may be one of the heaviest beneficiaries. Congratulations to Javion Rivers for being this week’s Meeks & Meeks Attorneys Montgomery County Player of the Week. Join us next week as we crown a new recipient.

Montgomery Central’s Michael Lobdell (Class of 2020) is the Meeks & Meeks, Montgomery County Player of the Week…

May 3, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

We probably don’t recognize kickers and punters as much as the positions deserve. We have heard it said special team’s is a third of the game of football, but people like Robert R. Neyland attached even more significance to it than that. One thing is certain, nothing gets a team beat any faster than bad special teams’ play. Michael Lobdell is one of the best around and a real weapon for the Indians which is why he is this week’s Meeks & Meeks Montgomery County Player of the Week. Join us next week when we award this to another deserving player from your friends when you really need one, Meeks & Meeks.

Kenwood’s J’Quoi George, Class of 2019, is the Meeks and Meeks, Montgomery County, POW

March 23, 2019 Fletcher Long 0

The fact we are just learning of this particular prospect, and we are located just 20 or so miles from where he just finished his HS career, seems criminal to us. J’Quoi George is a player who would have immeasurably benefitted from playing HS football in a more covered market. Those are just the facts, sorry if you don’t like it. He is a great player who is in real jeopardy of slipping under the radar. It’s a damnable shame.
