Davidson Academy’s Evan Kelley (c/o 2022) is this weeks Meeks and Meeks Montgomery County Player of the Week

As you are aware, we both have and continue to cover Clarksville, Tennessee talent, and talent from the Clarksville metropolitan area, as part of our coverage area largely because we have interests located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Hopkinsville and Clarksville comprise one metropolitan area in spite of one city being in Kentucky and the second laying just across the Tennessee state line.

We are proud to have partnered with the law firm of Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys to feature a weekly article promoting a Clarksville-Montgomery County area prep football player. Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys is a full service law firm covering all areas within the realm of general practice from domestic to criminal defense, contracts to malpractice, Will & Estates to civil and criminal matters in General Sessions. Regardless of your legal needs, you have a friend at Meeks & Meeks who will protect your rights and guard your best interest. Give them a call today.

Both Meeks & Meeks and KPGFootball are sure you probably read this title and thought to yourself, Hey, isn’t Davidson Academy a football power located in Nashville, Tennessee? Well, it is. As a matter of fact, DA is a prestigious private school permitted to accept talented football players onto its roster provided the parents of the prospective player can tote the note, if you catch our drift.

Well, Evan Kelley, one of Tennessee’s very best QB prospects in the Class of 2022 anywhere in the Volunteer state, used to attend our very own Clarksville Academy. However, when it came time to enroll for high school, the Clarksville, Tennessee native decided to take his talents to Music City.

Kelley has been biding his time and waiting to get under center for DA’s varsity squad. The sophomore season is the customary time for super-stars to start finding the field in the high school game. It would appear the time is now for both Kelley and Coach Quinn’s Davidson Academy football Bears.

We are going to make a little prediction here and, when it happens remember you heard it here first. KPGFootball projects Kelley as the game-one starter for defending State Champion and owner of a 23 game regular season win streak, Davidson Academy when they take the field against Franklin Road Academy to christen the 2019 season. Let’s just see whether we are right.

Just this week, Kelley was blistering hot in a 7 on 7 tournament as the main QB for the Bears. In six games of action in the tournament, all of which DA won (by the way), Evan Kelley completed 55 of his 59 passing attempts for 22 TDs against only 1 interception. Kelley accounted for over 1,000 yards of passing offense during the event. At 6-0, the Davidson Academy was crowned champion besting six other area teams, in rather convincing fashion in route to the crown. Though they didn’t play each other, CA was at the same tournament and got to enjoy Evan’s aerial show with the rest of the fans. If we’re guessing the reunion between the former comrades was a bittersweet one though more so for them than for him, we’re sure.

Congratulations to Davidson Academy’s Evan Kelley, Class of 2022, for being chosen our Meeks & Meeks, Attorneys, Montgomery County Area Player of the Week! Join us next week as we award this to another worthy recipient.
