KPGFootball Close to Publishing the Freshman All-State Football Team…

Okay, this is for readers, subscribers, and selection committee members out there. We are about 80% complete on the KPGFootball, 2nd Annual, Kentucky Freshman All-State Football Team. I have circulated what we have right now to the different selection committee members. KPGFootball has been a little later getting this team up, and still have the Sophomore team to go, as we are voters on the AP Kentucky All-State Football team too and, as nominations for that team closes this morning, we have had our full attention somewhat diverted.

Here is how this works for the freshman, just to remind everyone. This team is not for the freshmen who dominated either freshman or Junior Varsity football. This is for the freshmen who made significant, Friday-night contributions to the Varsity…the letter winners. People have before complained that isn’t fair to the schools which don’t play freshmen, to which we have before held, and re-iterate now, there really isn’t such a thing as a high school team which absolutely won’t play a freshman. We don’t doubt you were told that, but the type of freshmen we select for this team are on the field in spite of their youth because they are so good, their teams had to play them!

One more thing, we don’t have corporate sponsorship this year, unlike last year, so the team, when published, will be behind our pay-wall and viewable to only the subscribers to KPGFootball. If you would like your company to have its name tied to this team like last year’s sponsor, contact us through the site. If you aren’t a subscriber, you may join the site by hitting this link. This is the only All-State team in Kentucky which distinguishes or honors the underclassmen as all other teams are dominated, for the most part, by upperclassmen.
