When KPGFootball tells you our work is very important, players like Chase Doan from Somerset, Kentucky (Southwestern High School) is the reason. Why Chase Doan? Well, it’s because we are willing to believe many of you reading this don’t have a clue who he is.

Chase Doan doesn’t have a single highlight loaded onto his Hudl page. His Facebook page has the picture of a puppy with no recent pictures of him. His MaxPrep entry has him on the roster but doesn’t even contain his height and weight, figures about him we still haven’t located anywhere on line. Doan didn’t make the KPGFootball freshman All-State team (Oops) isn’t listed on 247Sports andRivals.com has never heard of him.

Why is that all so striking? Well, here’s why…CHASE DOAN GAINED 916 YARDS AGAINST A CLASS 5A SCHEDULE IN 145 CARRIES WITH 10 RUSHING TDs. Treyveon Longmire, from Corbin, playing 3A football, who did make our KPGFootball All-State Football team, playing in 15 games (as opposed to Doan’s 13) gained 611 yards on 69 carries with 4 rushing TDs. Longmire’s been offered by WVU, UK, Tennessee, Purdue, among many others. Doan has been offered by bupkis.

Now to be fair, Longmire also caught 20 passes for 534 receiving yards and 7 TDs receiving (Doan caught 2 passes for 3 yards and 0 TDs) and totaled 1,145 all-purpose yards. This article shouldn’t be read to propose we chose unwisely in making Longmire our freshman All-State running-back. What this article is saying is Chase Doan would have been a fitting addition to the backfield. He could have been our second recipient at a position where we only distinguished one player.

What KPGFootball is saying is having an on-line publication like us, who may have been late to the party but still ended up the only arrival, is critically important to our efforts to get publicity for players like Chase Doan. A freshman running-back who runs for over 900 and scores 10 rushing TDs in 145 carries is a Class of 2022 prospect who’s performance is worthy of celebration and publicity.

Plain and simply, Chase Doan is a stud running-back whose performance, going forward, is only going to get more and more awe-inspiring. Now, thanks to us, he’s also considerably less anonymous. Remember what we always say, if a tree falls in a forrest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? No!

Reporting for KPGFootball, this is F. W. Long reminding all of you ballers out there that #WeGotUCovered and to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE.
