There are a lot of big-time QBs who just finished up incredible careers. Drew Nieves at LCA, Joe Humphries at Daviess County, Jagger Gillis at Boyle County, Cameron Hergott at Beechwood, Cole Pennington at Sayre, are just a few of the QBs of whom we could be making reference. The list seemingly goes on forever.

No where is there a less appreciated high school star quarterback (in our estimation) than Lexington Catholic’s Jack Gohmann. On top of everything he is on the gridiron, he’s a thousand point plus scorer on the hardwood too.

Gohmann is 6-3 and weighs 180-pounds. Among his more significant statistics is his 3.9 unweighted GPA and his leading his team to a 9-3 mark which would see it finish runner up in 4A among the highest RPIs.

Gohmann had quite the year. The dual threat star completed 168 of 263 passing attempts for 2,174-yards and 21 TDs against 5-INTs while rushing the ball 107-times for 478-yards and 9-ground scores.

Where does this guy figure on the next level. It is hard to say. Gohmann figures to be a college basketball prospect to go with what he is on the gridiron. With his academic performance, he is sure to get academic money too.

Our guess is the sky is literally the limit here. We could see him anywhere from somewhere in D-1 to the prestigious liberal arts colleges dotting the D-3 landscape and virtually anywhere in between.

He will end up somewhere. Jack Gohmann for darn sure is worth not being forgotten.
