We are finishing this series with our preseason top 5 in the 6A classification. There are some teams missing here which will surprise some folks. We have sort of gone out on a limb here, but we are gamblers what can we say? Anyway, this is how we see it. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves. HB.
Daviess County is coming off an 11-2 season in ’21 which saw them compete at the highest level in the 6A Classification. Now Humphreys and Dees are both moving on to the college game, what will the Panthers do for an encore in ’22? Jack Gohmann may be among Kentucky’s more forgotten star QBs. It sure was a crowded position among ’22 players across the Bluegrass. However, when you crunch the numbers, one sees Grohmann stacks up to any other player who played the position. Enjoy the feature. HB.
Mr. Football voting is around the corner. First up will be the Coaches in the Courier Journal. The Media (Associated Press) will conclude the awards season months from now in the Herald-Leader. Who will win “Mr. Football?” What about this guy? His play makes a very compelling case. HB.

This week’s Protein-packed Performer of the week get little attention even though he is a 3-star, nationally rated QB-prospect playing 6A football in one of Kentucky’s more densely populated areas. Of course, the QB playing cross-town, at Owensboro Senior, is also among Kentucky’s top signal callers in the same graduating class, ’22.
