We are finishing this series with our preseason top 5 in the 6A classification. There are some teams missing here which will surprise some folks. We have sort of gone out on a limb here, but we are gamblers what can we say? Anyway, this is how we see it. Feel free to discuss amongst yourselves. HB.

Daviess County is coming off an 11-2 season in ’21 which saw them compete at the highest level in the 6A Classification. Now Humphreys and Dees are both moving on to the college game, what will the Panthers do for an encore in ’22? Well, they will surely lean even more heavily on this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week. Enjoy this week’s feature and discover what makes Independence Bank’s people, products, and services revolutionary in the financial services industry. HB.

The featured photograph is of Corithian Seales-Portee of Union County. He had a really great night last Friday and he certainly wasn’t alone. By the way, this photograph was taken by Allison Evans for “The Crittenden Press.” Enjoy this regularly appearing series, “In the Running,” to learn more about “who is doing what” around the commonwealth. @joe_humphreys2 from @DCHS_Football is the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer of the Week. @1776Bank @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @TheOwensboro

This week’s Protein-packed Performer of the week get little attention even though he is a 3-star, nationally rated QB-prospect playing 6A football in one of Kentucky’s more densely populated areas. Of course, the QB playing cross-town, at Owensboro Senior, is also among Kentucky’s top signal callers in the same graduating class, ’22. Enjoy this look at Joe Humphreys from Daviess County and remember to join us again next week as we award this distinction to another fine player and outstanding student and citizen. HB.
