Isaiah Fitzpatrick was among Kentucky’s very finest as a high school football player. Several in-state schools felt strongly enough about that to insist on fully funding his upcoming college experience. He jumped on the opportunity, leaving some bigger programs trying to PWO him to their roster hanging at the alter. In the grand scheme, he was shrewd, smart, and cagy and we applaud his decision. Damarien Mudd is an up and comer with a bright future playing for Louisville’s Central High. He is a track star, in addition to what he does on the football field. He didn’t get a ton of run in ’20 but we would expect him to be an active part of the team’s efforts in the Fall of ’22 and thereafter. Enjoy this look at a kid who will be a junior next year. HB.
Year after year Pikeville High School has talent come off its bus which defies all logic in evaluating a Kentucky 1A roster. We would suppose that is why the Panthers are perpetually in the Title hunt at the 1A classification in football. Zion Mason exhibited incredible value and versatility in ’21 as a junior. We don’t foresee his senior year being different. The only thing more to add to what he did as a junior will be the cornucopia of recruiting campus visits he will travel to over the Fall. HB.
