Speaking of someone making a home…
They call him Fat Cat at Springfield High School and around the Springfield community. Exactly why is somewhat of a mystery, at least to KPGFootball. I am quite sure it makes for a wonderful story. I love the nickname though, for reasons I am about to explain, I would suggest changing the spelling of the word Fat to Phat and leaving the Cat as it is. If it were up to me, I would call him Dayron Phat Cat Johnson. Why? Well, according to Merriam-Webster, the word phat, in addition to meaning highly attractive or gratifying, also means excellent. Phat Cat Johnson has excellent speed having been before clocked covering 40 yards in 4.47 seconds. Phat Cat Johnson has excellent stats, having caught 52 balls for the Yellow Jackets over his junior season for 1,035 yards and 10 TDs; averaging a fraction under 20 yards every time he touched the ball. Phat Cat Johnson had an excellent year, having already been awarded the Robertson County Player of the Year for his play in leading his Yellow Jackets to the class 4A State Championship game. Finally, Phat Cat Johnson is having an excellent time visiting FBS destinations and drawing genuine interest from the likes of Tulane, Missouri, Michigan State, and Tennessee. The 5-9, 170 pound WR/CB benches 250 pounds and Squats 315 which are numbers which serve him well at his positions and explains why he has the core strength and lower body propulsion to run as fast as he does. We have no doubt Dayron Phat Cat Johnson will be back to lead Coach Dustin Wilson’s SHS Yellow Jackets on another deep run into the TSSAA playoffs.
Congratulations to Class of 2019 Dayron Fat Cat Johnson from Springfield High School for being selected this week’s Stewart Williams Furniture Company’s Robertson County Player of the Week. Reporting for KPGFootball, this is Fletcher Long reminding all of you ballers out there to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE.
