Carter Smith is indicative of the type youth movement the Lakers are enjoying since bringing on Coby Lewis to head its football program. Smith is a young, two-way lineman with a sturdy frame and very good power numbers in the weight room. This offseason will be critical for this prospect as the team will go as far in ’26 as two-way linemen like Smith can take it. Enjoy this look at this very fine, young player from your friends and neighbors at The Cadiz Bank & Trust Company. We are excited to sponsor and promote these fine, young student athletes from the areas where we thrive and who support and promote our services and financial products. Enjoy this feature.

We continue on with our offseason coverage not really discussing players of the week so much as discussing featured players and prospects. Jackson Wyatt is a kid with a ton athletic ability and potential who found himself on the varsity playing field, under the Friday Night Lights, more than most expected. Wyatt will be called on to be “The Man” going forward as Calloway loses some all-timer types from off the roster this Spring to the graduation platform. Wyatt is among the commonwealth’s better players among ’29s and is already enjoying varsity success in other sports. Wyatt is the kind of kid coaches want to coach and, in the end, that may be the finest compliment which can be paid to him. Enjoy the feature.

We continue on with our offseason coverage not really discussing players of the week so much as discussing featured players and prospects. Luis Ira is a ’26 left guard who was an unsung hero for his Laker ball club which experienced, under first year head football coach, Coby Lewis quite the remarkable turnaround. The Lakers went from winless in ’24 to six (6) wins in ’25 and proved a competitive spirit along the way. People around this program are excited about the strides it is making in a city (Murray, KY) getting known as a hotbed of football competitiveness on Kentucky’s western end. Enjoy the feature.

Bank of Cadiz is proud of its All-Staters! @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @KatherineL58069

December 22, 2025 Fletcher Long 0

The Bank of Cadiz is very proud of its former in-season, Players of the Week who also made one of Kentucky’s more prestigious All-State Football teams. The Big Ass Fans team, which has a small school and large school component is the most thorough and well defended all state football team in the KHSAA. This validates our PoW selections. Validation is grand! Enjoy the article from your friends at the Bank of Cadiz.

Bryson ‘Cowboy’ Ford, a ’29 multi-phase talent, is the Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company Superior Performance, Exceptional Quality Player of the Week @KatherineL58069, @Ahmaariii12, @MurrayQBClub, @LasatersCoffee, @eCampusdotcom, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @Ale8One, @CountyColonels, @HopHighTigers, @murrayFB

If there is a matter on which we would readily wager it is whether or not Bryson Ford will be a superstar at the HS level. Ford rendered an all-state, caliber performance over his freshman season playing on a roster in its last year of existence for a high school which is being closed at year’s end and subsumed into a conglomerate high school which figures to have the largest enrollment in KY among public high schools. Ford led the team in tackles as a freshman and was among the leaders in TFLs. That TFLs stat is impressive as getting freshman to play “down hill” is no easy tack. Enjoy this look at a players everyone around western KY seems to be discussing, including us.

Bryce Huseman, a ’28 multi-phase talent, is the Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company Superior Performance, Exceptional Quality Player of the Week @KatherineL58069, @Ahmaariii12, @MurrayQBClub, @LasatersCoffee, @eCampusdotcom, @bigassfans, @khsaafootball, @KyHighFootball, @Ale8One, @CountyColonels, @HopHighTigers, @murrayFB

Bryce Huseman is a guy who only got run his sophomore year in eight games. That notwithstanding, the kid had one heck of a year and studded out statistically in many critical categories. For the Trigg County Wildcats to reach the program’s full potential, the program will have to harness and develop more talent like Huseman. This offseason will be absolutely critical in regard to that goal. Enjoy this feature on this wonderfully gifted and talented young football star from your friends and neighbors at the Bank of Cadiz.
