We have been covering the Hopkins County Central this offseason. Frankly, it is a fun cover. For starters, they are among the more up and coming programs in the 3A classification on the western end of Kentucky. Secondly, the Storm compete in an ultra competitive district stocked with good teams and high profile coaches and players. Enjoy this look at a young player we believe will factor mightily in the Storm’s prospects this coming Fall. Friday Night Fletch.

Camden [James] is just another in a long line of notable people named “Burke” @CamdenBurke77 @Coach_Couch_MC @Coachwb3 @C_Chap_SC @tm_squared @MCentral_FB @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS

’26 OL proving among the best in ’26 class Camden James Burke is 6’3,” and weighs 275-pounds. He got eight (8) games of run on the varsity as a sophomore playing 6A football and was derailed (by injury) from playing even more. Burke was among the club leaders in “pancake” […]

Drew Johnson from Owensboro (Senior High) is from a winning pedigree and has a proven record of success stemming generations… @EliHampton11 @SrHighFootball @TrevorDeLacey @840WHAS @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank

Pedigree may not mean everything when it comes to football but it isn’t meaningless either. We see this with the inordinate amount of former players’ sons and coaches’ sons who go on to star at the various levels of football competition from HS to the NFL. Coming from generations of people accustomed to winning at life pay dividends too, HS coaches tell us. Enjoy this feature. Friday Night Fletch.

Austyn is laying down the Law[less] and winning the @minguabeefjerky Protein-packed Performer along the way. @austynlawless @BJNFBall @ClayClevenger @18_hatcher @drew_toennies @1776Bank @840WHAS

Austyn Lawless is one of ’27s most prolific performers. How many freshmen linebackers can boast of registering more than 100-tackles, 16-TFLs, and 6-sacks while carrying a 4.0 GPA. We wouldn’t think the number would be very big if we are being honest. Enjoy this feature and don’t forget to #SavorTheFlavor. Friday Night Fletch.

The name, Spacek, often equals talent and hard work @AshbySpacek @drew_toennies @mhscoachjoe @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank @840WHAS

We expect a champions effort out of anyone representing Mayfield High and particularly if that person is named “Spacek.” There is a lot in a name we have come to believe. Ashby Spacek, ’25 center/tackle, will enter his senior campaign one of the more reliable, gifted, and physically imposing interior OL guys in the KHSAA. Let’s see if he lives up to the name. We are sure he will. Friday Night Fletch.
