Russellville is a program we are accustomed to watching thrive. It wasn’t too many years ago the Panthers were taking Pikeville to the wire in the 1A title game on Kroger Field on the campus of UK. The Panthers limped through a tough season but showed some promise as young players filled spots one usually see filled by young guys. Bodes well for the future. Recruiting for the small college programs is far from over at this point. Because of that, we fear there are some programs overlooking some bone fide athletic talent through the commonwealth still on the “available” list. Kahmani Bush would certainly qualify. This guy has a Hudl page but no highlights. Doing an exhaustive search for him online we came away with nothing. This guy needs a feature just to give him some online identity. We hear Mattox Allen is a good-looking athlete with plenty of skill set to find the field over the course of his sophomore season. Trevy Barber is the most productive player at his position anywhere throughout the commonwealth of Kentucky. He was a sophomore in ’23 but that didn’t stop him from registering 84-catches, 16-of which went for TDs, for over a thousand yards (1,189). Get this, the kid also housed a kick. What a jewel for this or any roster. For starters, they are among the more up and coming programs in the 3A classification on the western end of Kentucky.
