’26 OL has a head for the game with a frame to match
We are winding down our coverage of ’26s as they are leaving us this coming Spring. At LCA, there are tons of underclassmen worthy of coverage, particularly along the lines of scrimmage which are particularly loaded with college capable talent. There are a few ’26s we would still like to feature and “The Gunner,” Brody Adams, is certainly one of those. Adams is the son of Chad Adams who heads up the middle school football program at Lexington Christian Academy (LCA). Having well schooled feeder programs are incredibly important tools for the health of any high school program. Enjoy this look at a young man we regret not having covered sooner.

eCampus.com was built on a simple idea: make textbooks affordable, convenient, and accessible for every student. Founded in 1999 in Lexington, KY and backed by visionary investors like Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas, the company has grown into a premier online textbook retailer for high school and college students nationwide.
Their mission has always been supporting student success both on and off the field through affordable access to the course materials they need. eCampus.com is excited to invest in our student-athletes through Kentucky Prep Gridiron (KPGFootball) which was founded to promote and assist young high school football players get promoted to “next level,” college football opportunities.
That is why eCampus.com sponsors the KPGFootball, Big Man on the eCampus series. This week’s Big Man on the eCampus is a kid we call “The Gunner” around the offices of our magazine, Brody Adams. One reason we are featuring him here is Adams is another Eagle who could have made the Small School All-State Football Team and just missed.
Perhaps he should have made it. No all-state team is flawless.
Lexington Christian Academy (LCA) perennially competes for KHSAA championships at its level of play. Players developing into stars, like Brody Adams, have a ton to do with any football program’s success.
Small School All-State Reveal Show
Lexington, KY: There is no secret how LCA scaled to the top of the mountain top in 2025. The roster was laden with talent sufficient to keep the Eagles in the race this season and, seemingly, for several years to come.

There is no position group any more loaded for the Eagles than its offensive line. We know about the two all-staters upfront, Matthew Montgomery (’28) and Nick Greer (’28), but there was significantly more talent upfront than just two guys.
We have yet to tell you about Brody Adams. Truthfully, for this kid nicknamed (by us, around our offices) “The Gunner” there is quite a lot to say.
First of all, Adams was primarily an OL for a unit which helped the Eagles win its programs’s 2nd state football title, helped the offense pass for 2,299-yards, complete 156 of 239-passing attempts (66% completion rate approximately), and score 26 aerial TDs against only 6-picks.
This unit also helped the Eagles also rush for 2,254-yards, on 350-carries (6.44-yards per), with 39-TDs. That is incredible production for an offense which scored 543 points against the competition it scheduled.
The Eagles were 13-2 in 2025. The Eagles played 6A, North Hardin; 4A finalists Boyle County and Franklin County; 3A state champion, Christian Academy-Louisville (CAL); and 3A contender, Lexington Catholic.
Adams was an integral part of the 2A championship football team. If you consider his frame, there is little wonder.
Adams is 6’3,” and weighs in at 265-pounds. Adams played in all 15 of the Eagles games and contributed defensively in limited opportunities.
Perhaps one of the more impressive things about Adams is the 3.8-GPA he carries. This is even more impressive considering LCA’s curriculum is among the more challenging in the commonwealth at the secondary level.
Adams is a guy who holds some impressive offers to play next level. Berry College, in Georgia, has offered the prospect. Berry has won the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) six (6) times and played in the NCAA’s on four (4) separate occasions.
I can tell you Berry is an annual threat to win its conference at its level of play (NCAA, D3). Playing in the same conference with Centre College, and Adams having played at LCA for a HFC (in Oakley Watkins) who played at Centre, one has to wonder when the Colonels are going to arrive at the party.
As for Coach Watkins, he has been highly complementary of his senior OL. Coach Watkins has before said, “Adams is next level talent who has experienced astronomical growth over the last two seasons, both on and off the field.”
Watkins is a guy who would know “next level talent” when seeing it. Therefore, Watkins assessment is mighty high praise in deed.
Join us next week as we honor another eCampus.com, Big Man on the eCampus, furthering off our offseason coverage. Until then, from any classroom to every field, eCampus.com delivers an easy, fast, and affordable way to order textbooks for students everywhere.
