’25 RB/SS is a 3-star, nationally ranked prospect and showed us why last weekend
Braxton Jennings is one of the better kept secrets in the commonwealth of Kentucky around the KHSAA. He is 5’11,” 195-pounds who bench presses 315-pounds, squats 425-pounds, and has been offered by Louisville, Buffalo, EKU, and Eastern Michigan with SEC teams, like Vanderbilt, taking a long, hard look. Jennings has a 3.25 GPA making him a “take” at various levels. He is the 28th overall prospect in the Bluegrass and the 135th prospect, at the RB position, in the USA. He has his Tomcats headed into the KHSAA playoffs scorching hot and hunting a title at the 4A classification.

Ashland, KY: Mingua Beef Jerky uses Enviro-Pac CHU-2000 equipment to cook its meat to USDA required levels for both moist or dry operation. Mingua Beef Jerky wants you to become one of its many satisfied customers by sampling its quality hand sliced, all natural beef jerky. We know you’ll love it and come back for more, again and again.
Ronnie Mingua began experimenting with making beef jerky back in the 1990s. He shared his efforts with neighbors and friends, soon realizing he had come up with something different and superior to all other beef jerkies on the market. From these humble beginnings, Mingua Beef Jerky got its start.
Today, the Mingua Beef Jerky Company still prides itself on using its old-fashioned, all-natural recipes which offer outstanding products to customers across the nation. The recipes are a family tradition, passed down from generation to generation.
Our recipes and our quality ingredients, hand-cut from solid pieces of beef, are never chopped or formed like other brands, making our products superior and one of a kind. That would make our products similar to this week’s Protein-packed Performer, Braxton Jennings, ’25 RB/SS from Paul Blazer High in Ashland, Kentucky.
Ashland, KY: There are seven teams, out of 223 across the commonwealth, sporting regular season, perfect records. Three (3) of the seven (7), close to half, are 4A teams.
The seven teams are Sayre (1A), Owensboro Catholic (2A), Hart County (3A), Boyle County, Paducah Tilghman, and Franklin County High (4A), and Cooper High (5A). With all the “star power” of which 4A boasts, it is easy to forget about 9-1 Ashland-Blazer. That would be unwise.
Blazer lost its third game of the year to one of the best teams in Ohio (Harvest Prep) and has pretty much rolled through its KHSAA competition like feces through a goose. The Tomcats are 9-1, and in the season finale, they put it all over 6A, Simon Kenton, 58-28.
Jennings was fantastic against the “Pioneers” from Simon Kenton. Jennings carried the ball 16-times, gained 185-yards, and scored four (4) TDs. Jennings caught five (5) passes swinging out of the backfield, a skill colleges just love about him and led his team in scoring with 24 of the team’s 58-points.
Jennings is ranked the 28th best prospect in Kentucky and 135th at the RB position across the country. He has already been offered by Louisville, Buffalo, EKU, and Eastern Michigan with Vanderbilt circling and closing in fast. With his 3.25-GPA, he is a “take” at any Division 1 level and appears solidly an FBS, mid-major to Power 4, prospect.
If you don’t believe us, ask Simon Kenton.
Join us next week as we return to honor another weekly prize winner. Until then, pop some Mingua Beef Jerky in your mouth and savor the quality and flavor which sets it apart from the competition. Remember, our product is superior and one of a kind; just like Paul Blazer High’s Braxton Jennings.
This is Friday Night Fletch reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron and reminding you to PLAY THROUGH THE WHISTLE. Don’t forget to SAVOR THE FLAVOR!
