This Week's Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Bank is...

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry. Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded both the Purples’ and the Bowling Green, Kentucky community’s expectations. We are focusing on the class of 2019 QB, Beau Buchanan, from Bowling Green, Kentucky right down the road from three Independence Bank branches located on 2415 Nashville Road; 1950 Scottsville Road; and Williamsburg Square, 877 Fairview Avenue.

In 2017, Buchanan showed himself to be one of the most efficient and productive QBs anywhere in the Commonwealth. He led his charges to an overall 10-3 record with a narrow loss to South Warren in the Regional Finals, he completed 162 of his 251 passing attempts for a completion percentage of .6454, and he threw 25 TD passes with only being intercepted twice. Beau has a coveted frame for a Division I, next level, QB prospects as he is measured at 6-3 and weighs 205 pounds. Though he is a drop-back passer/Pro-style QB prospect, he has registered a 4.8, 40 yard dash time, as his three rushing TDs in 2017 would certainly suggest. Buchanan bench presses 235 pounds so he’s someone a lot of high school players aren’t going to pick on, even if they figure a way through the Purples‘ offensive front. Beau was selected to participate, this past summer, in the prestigious Stefan LeFors’ Bluegrass QB Challenge in Louisville, Kentucky, signifying his being considered one of the top, rising senior QBs in all of Kentucky. Beau has recently visited Yale University where his grades and abilities on the football field have him firmly in play. He is being heavily recruited by numerous other FBS/FCS schools seeking his services.
