Outstanding individual performances this past weekend from around @KyHighFootball. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin

September 14, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

We may have to start calling this article “The Race for the World’s Finest Beef Jerky.” We had scouts all over Kentucky this weekend and they saw some impressive individual efforts. Nothing in life is guaranteed but if I were a betting man I would think this week’s Mingua Beef Jerky Power-packed Performer of the Week may well be in this article. Enjoy. HB.

We take voting in the AP poll very seriously. We are proud to be a subscribed member of the foremost press agency in the land and feel our votes should be cast thoughtfully and only after having done the work. This is how we cast our vote for the poll which will be released the 14th of September. We also included some reasons for why certain teams were voted where they were. Enjoy the article and thanks for your support. HB.

@AndrewMunster from @mcleancohs1 is the @1776Bank, Revolutionary Player of the Week.

September 11, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

On the eve of opening the season, we decided to go back and award a former recipient of this same award. Andrew Munster was first awarded the Revolutionary Player of the Week by Independence Bank on January 26, 2019. With his recent selection to the “Herald-Leader Hundred” we thought now would be a good time to give the distinction to him a second time. Join us next week as we award this to another worthy recipient. HB.

@williammlong, with @bchsbaby, is the @minguabeefjerky ‘Protein Packed Performer of the Week.’

@MHSCardinalsFB will invade the @MustangRedZone at @gomaccracken this Friday night. We’ll dissect that matchup right here and pick a winner.

September 8, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

If I pick McCracken to win, the Mayfield Cardinal legion will go absolutely berserk. Those guys would be upset if the College Game Day crew picked Alabama over Mayfield. That is one of the main reasons Mayfield is Mayfield. However, McCracken went on the road and beat the Cardinals by double-digits in 2019. Will the Mustangs do it again in 2020? The answer to that question is in this article and on the field Friday night. HB.

It’s game week and Labor Day: Let’s get this thing started the right way. Matchup Analysis of the biggest game in the Bluegrass, Sept. 11, @JCAthletics_ at @BellCoFootball

September 7, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

Here is a game which will be tougher than it looks on paper. Everyone gets all over the top about the loss of London Stephney at QB for Bell. His loss is huge, he was a fine player. However, what is left in Bell County, post-Stepney, is still elite talent. Johnson Central suffered some losses to graduation too. This game will be a tight one. Who’s going to win? Well, you’ll have to buy the article or subscribe to find that out! HB.

Featured Matchup (9-11-2020): @LeslieCountyHS at @clay_co_fb. @KyHighFootball @minguabeefjerky @1776Bank

September 5, 2020 Henry Lyon 0

These same teams played early in 2019 in Hyden, Kentucky. Clay County won that game by 17-points. Fans can’t act like high school teams are the same year in and year out. There is something called “graduation” which plays a big part in any high school team’s fortunes. Who will win this year’s game to be played the 11th in Manchester? Glad you asked, we broke down for you in this article? Enjoy! HB.
