We are dealing with our grief. Each year we have to say good bye to another group of players we began covering when they were just middle schoolers. The best way to deal with the grief is to get right back up on that horse. Here is a player we are sure we will continue to cover over the course of his budding high school career beginning next season. If it is anything like what he accomplished in the KYMSFA, there will be quite a lot to cover. HB.

Both Independence Bank and KPGFootball send out their very best to all the families impacted by the recent tornado which ravaged Mayfield, Kentucky as hard as any area in the Bluegrass. We know the people of Graves County will meet this challenge with the tenacity and toughness they meet every other challenge. Independence Bank will be with you, hand in hand, every step of the way. Enjoy this look at a tough customer who just finished a fine career for Mayfield High School. HB.

@tyler8morris from @LCAFootball2021 shall not pass this way again…An overall statement on postseason All-State teams. @NavyFB @minguabeefjerky @KyHighFootball @MaxPreps

Every year All-State teams get published. Every year some obvious All-Stater gets omitted from every single team. There are more All-State caliber players playing the high school game among Kentucky’s 6-classifications than there are available spots. Like the game “Musical Chair,” there will be an extra-player without a place to land when the music stops. This year, the first of the All-State teams was published. It is sponsored by Kentucky Sports Radio. It was a fine team but omitted Tyler Morris. This article is why that omission was so glaringly inappropriate. Here’s to hoping the other teams don’t err in the same way. HB.

@LaytonDavis4 Class of ’23 from @CaldwellCoFB is the @minguabeefjerky ‘Protein-packed Performer’ of the week! @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @1776Bank @KyHighFootball

First of all, both the fine people at Mingua Beef Jerky and KPGFootball would like to express heartfelt care and concern for all those impacted by what has been termed the worst tornado in the history of Kentucky. We hope our efforts may bring a moment of comfort to those whose lives have been so inestimably impacted. We will continue to bring to people the coverage and products on which they have come to rely and hope our efforts in some small way may provide some comfort and the certainty which can come from “soldiering on” under truly adverse circumstances. With that being said, we are pleased to award this week’s prize package to a fantastic player who lives in one of the more impacted communities, Princeton, Kentucky. Please enjoy this feature and join us next week as we award this to another fine football player and athlete. HB.

@NickMasek from @gomccracken looking toward winning much more than the day. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @1776Bank @KyHighFootball

Nick Masek is the big-bodied, athletic, huge handed TE college’s covet. He is a real weapon working against any second level defender with the build and length to put defenders on his back and use his arms and “mitts” to envelope passes thrown his way. Lots of schools are beating a path to his door. Enjoy the feature. HB.

@BRaines007 (Landin Raines) from @rowancountyfb amply demonstrated he was among Kentucky’s best football prospects in a variety of ways… @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball @1776Bank

Not many people realize how good of a football player one has to be to get offered by football teams at the top of any division of play. Let me assure you that St. Johns in Minnesota can flat out ball and could either beat or really push many of the FCS teams populating or surrounding our commonwealth. Read about this fine prospect and try to learn a little something. HB.
