If I were to draw a picture of what a middle school, rising high school offensive tackle should appear, I would probably be drawing a picture of Dylan peck. He his long, lean, has plus length, good feet, and is athletic for a big man at his stage of development. Belfry Middle School wins or competes for KYMSFA championships yearly. Guess what? The high school version of the football team does the exact same thing at the KHSAA level. If you want to tremble with fear, consider this…Franklin County has about every significant piece of the puzzle returning from a team which made it to the 4A semis a year ago. They should be among the favorites this coming Fall. Gavin Hurst is a large reason why although the Flyers have more ballyhooed players than the 6-1, 175-pound skilled athlete in the ’24 graduating class. Here is a guy who figures to make a huge impact for Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park High this coming Fall. Though he only played in 6-games a year ago at Fern Creek, he was one of its more dynamic, second-level defenders. His addition to the Panther roster will pay huge dividends for the 6A program for the reasons we outline in this article. Enjoy the feature. HB.

One of my favorite songs growing up was “Harper Valley P.T.A.” The song, written by legendary songwriter Tom T. Hall was recorded by Jeannie C. Riley and was her debut. It topped many charts much like the Harper twins are the top of many important football statistics for the Eagles football program. Dashawn Benford seems poised to surge to the front of the Broncos defensive plan in the Fall of ’22.
