To say the Braves lost quite a bit of production off its 12-1 Regional Runner-up in ’22 may be a bit of an understatement. These guys really took a hit at the hands of the graduation stage. However, the Braves return one of the better DE’s in Kentucky’s Class of 2025. Will it be enough to catapult the Braves to the top of its newly realigned district? Maybe…just maybe. Here is a kid who has been out in the working world and realizes that college degree changes his entire career arc. He is getting an opportunity to go to Barbourville, Kentucky and play for John Luttrell’s “Bulldogs.” Coach Chris Manning at Hopkins County Central has made it happen for him. That is the kind of man for whom I would want my son to play. HB.

Here is a kid who has committed 110% to play football for the Georgetown College Tigers football program. Now, that is a pretty darn good week all by itself. Turning our attention squarely on 24’s, like most college programs are in the midst of doing, we focus on one of WK’s best at the DE/DL position. His secondary position is OG and his playing there collegiately is not completely out of the question. This guy led 3A in sacks and was in the top-15 commonwealth-wide regardless of classification. Talk about a kid who, as a football prospect, literally has it all, take a look at Mickey Bailey. Bailey is 6’5,” 305-pound LT for the Maroons of Madisonville North-Hopkins (4A). This kid is slight of build but his performance didn’t suffer. While a freshman, this young phenom was still able to lead his ball club in tackles while earning his team’s Defensive MVP and making the All-Conference team.
