Armondo Rodriguez, Class of 2020, McLean County High School is this week’s Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance both has and continues to exceed the Cougars’ and McClean County, Kentucky community’s expectations. We are focusing on the class of 2020, PK, Armondo Rodriguez, from McClean County, Kentucky.

Armondo attends McClean County High School. The closest Independence Bank branch to Armondo’s high school lies approximately 7.9 miles from Calhoun, traveling down KY-136E, in neighboring Livermore, Kentucky. Hey, Cougars, go see the many banking services our friends, who brought you this article, offer your area. Revolutionary service is awaiting you, right there in McLean County, by simply traveling to our Liverpool, Kentucky branch on 614 Henton Street.

When looking over the McLean roster, spying what the Cougars have returning for 2019 there is something which readily appears. Last year’s senior placekicker, Edgar Rodriguez, has graduated. Good thing, Cougar faithful, we aren’t out of Rodriguez brothers.

When assessing Armondo’s highlights, we don’t see too many of him kicking field goals. However, his ability to place the football exactly where the kick coverage wants it is quite extraordinary. There is even a highlight of Armondo steer-wrestling one returner to the ground with only open field remaining, should he fail, between that guy and six points.

This last go-around will be the last for Romondo as a PK for the Cougars. He looks to us to be the kind of kid who will make the most of every opportunity.

Congratulations to Armondo Rodriguez from the McClean County High School in Calhoun, Kentucky for his Revolutionary Play which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
