Anderson County’s Blake Boudreaux (C/O 2020), Anderson County’s “Other End”

Any one in Kentucky can tell you Darion Dearinger is one of 2021’s elite defensive ends. He’s killed it on the camp/combine circuit, he’s listed on all the pundits sites as one of Kentucky’s best defenders, and he’s holding FBS-level offers for his services next level.

Of course, not to brag (brag forthcoming) we were telling you what kind of defensive end Dearinger was when he was in middle school. We have never even visited Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.

So it is safe to say teams in 2019 won’t be running it at Dearinger. So just where will opponents find it “safe travels” to hit the outside run-lane expressway? From the information we are getting from our well-placed sources in and around football programs all over the commonwealth of Kentucky, it would appear…nowhere.

Blake Boudreaux, Class of 2020, is a 6-2, 235-pounder who has been starting for the Bearcats at either RT or RG for the previous two seasons on offense. He has played sporadically on defense over that time in game action, as his highlights demonstrate. However, we have sources who don’t just attend games but are at practice too. Here’s what they have related back to us…

Boudreaux, for the previous two years, has been described to us as an untenable insurgent into the offensive backfield at practice, play after play, snap after snap. Coach Peach has decided, since he can’t find any personnel to get him blocked, perhaps this is a headache he should pass along to his brethren in the coaching fraternity around Class 4A, District 5.

When you’re new in a district and a classification it might not be a bad idea to bring along a little gift to demonstrate your being excited to have relocated there. Well, the Bearcats are bringing along Boudreaux to go along with its other very known commodities like Dearinger.

This is the latest example of how valuable it is to join KPGFootball and support our efforts to bring our customer base the very latest and reliable information about high school football all over Kentucky. We couldn’t do what we do without those of you out there suppling us with information regularly.

Today’s information, that Boudreaux is going to add DE to his duties along the offensive front, is very insider stuff. You have to either be close enough to the Bearcat program that you attend practice regularly or you have to regularly read KPGFootball to know this.

Either way, it is safe to say the Bearcat defense will be stout against the run this year. In the same district with teams the ilk of both Lexington Catholic and, particularly, Boyle County; that stoutness couldn’t be coming at a better or more pressing time.
