Aiden Weatherholt from @Football_Hornet is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week! @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded expectations in 2020 and who will be vitally important to the Mustangs’ success in 2021. Today, we are focusing on Class of 2023, linebacker, Aiden Weatherholt from Hancock County High School.

Weatherholt’s Hornets are located right down the road from an Independence Bank branch in Hawesville, Kentucky on 225 US-60. From Hancock County High School in Lewisport, Kentucky; one can drive a short 3.4 miles down US-60E right to the branch.

It will take you 5-minutes, tops! Go and visit the most rapidly growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, with 20 locations, Kentucky-wide. Independence Bank has started a revolution in the banking industry.

Aiden Weatherholt is a sophomore phenomenon playing with one of the commonwealth’s deepest and more talented class of ’23 prospects in all of Kentucky. Some see him was a DB-Jack-type in college and others like him at OLB, thickened up just a little bit.

Weatherholt has tremendous length and a solid frame and can play at his present weight or transition to an OLB in college, either one. His on-field production cannot be questioned.

In ’20, Weatherholt was his team’s second leading tackler, behind ’21’s Luke Garrison, and finished as the 11th-most prolific tackler in all of Class 2A. He had 78-stops, in only 8-games of action, and averaged just under 10-stops a game (9.8).

Weatherholt tossed in 3-TFLs, a QB-sack and a half, and a forced-fumble to go along with 2 fumble recoveries just to properly stuff the staff sheet last season. We know this, with sophomores like Weatherholt, Xander Early, and Logan Willis in the stable, it looks like Coach Eubanks’ Hornets will be contenders in the 2nd-District of the 2A-classification for a few years anyway.

Congratulations to Aaron Weatherholt, both for his Revolutionary Play in 2020 and that which is to come in 2021. His outstanding play, both in the past and that which is immediately looming, has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, your friends at Independence Bank.

This is Coach HB Lyon, reporting for Kentucky Prep Gridiron and reminding you that WE’RE JUST CALLING IT LIKE WE SEE IT!
