’26 LB (6’0,” 220-pounds) has been performing well all year
They call him “Double A.” We think he has earned the nickname “Alexander the Great,” but that one has been taken (and ably) throughout the history of western civilization, many times. Either way, the 6’0,” 220-pounder easily “looks the part” of the high school football star and plays the part well. Through six (6) games, Alexander has scored three (3) TDs rushing, a TD receiving, a two-point conversion, 26-Tackles, 7.75 TFLs, and 1.75 QB-sacks. That is quite the mouthful. Enjoy this look at one of the Wildcats more versatile football stars and a guy who has worked tirelessly to get here.

The Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company, based in Cadiz, Kentucky, was founded August 7, 1970. The bank obtained trust powers in 1978.

It is a locally owned, independent bank which has expanded, through the years, to locations in Hopkinsville and Murray in addition to Cadiz. The Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company has focused on community finance and dealing face-to-face with both families and small-business owners while fulfilling customer needs and the dreams of area families and businesses regardless of size or construct.
We, like our area schools, strive for high performance and finding ways to prosper in an ever-changing economic environment. The Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company remains committed to superior performance goals coupled with an exceptional quality of customer service.
A local, young, high school athlete who also renders superior performance while achieving exceptional quality is Trigg County High’s, Ahmari “Double A” Alexander, ’26 ATH. Alexander is this week’s Bank of Cadiz & Trust Company Superior Performance/Exceptional Quality Player of the Week.

Cadiz, KY: The first thing someone notices about Double A, Ahmari Alexander, is the fact the ’26 playmaker “looks the part.” At 6’0,” 220-pounds and slotted all over the field on both sides of the ball, the 2026 baller is a guy at whom next level targets should be setting their sights.
If you look at his numbers, the kid has done the work. Alexander bench presses 265, squats 400-pounds, deadlifts 375, and power cleans 260-pounds. You won’t find two many second level defenders and skill position offensive guys with numbers like those in the high school ranks. Alexander has been “doing it” on the field too.
Through six games of action, Alexander has scored three (3) TDs rushing, a TD receiving, and a two-point conversion. Alexander is among the team leaders in scoring.
Alexander plays defense too, where a lot of college scouts believe he may play next level. Alexander has 26-Tackles, 7.75 TFLs, and 1.75 QB-sacks. That is quite a bit of “meaningful production.”
Trigg hasn’t played a football game since losing to Crittenden County by 11-points on September 26. One of the “off weeks” was planned. The other was imposed by governmental shutdown. The governmental shutdown game has been rescheduled for October 30. It is a pivotal district matchup between Trigg County and district rival, Fort Campbell.

Cade Scott, the star sophomore QB, has been sidelined by injury. In his absence, Davaree Gude has been running “Wildcat” for the Wildcats. That is not an optimal situation for Coach Rusty Goble’s (OC) offense.
Mighty Mayfield is coming to Cadiz, KY this weekend. That is a tough customer to play with a roster at full strength, much less one hampered with injuries.
Mayfield is 6-1 with a loss to Tilghman High (4A), in Paducah, its only blemish. Mayfield has beaten 5A Graves County, 6As Christian County and McCracken County, and is coming off a 52-0 beat down of a Caldwell County team (October 3rd) that beat Trigg County, 47-22, in September.
This will be tough sledding here. That’s a bet.
The Todd County and Fort Campbell games, both away and post-Mayfield are (both) chock full of opportunity. That pairing presents the Wildcats a chance to enter the playoffs on a heater as Trigg County will be favored at Trigg and playing a “pick’em” game (at the least) at Fryar Stadium in Oak Grove.
Mayfield presents both a “test” and an opportunity. The Cardinals will be heavily favored BUT any time two teams enter a field, either can emerge with victory.
The game is in Cadiz. The pump is primed for an upset!
We can’t make it any simpler than that. We’ll see you at the game!
