’27 ATH is multitalented and promises to be a vital piece to next year’s puzzle for the consolidated school
There are plenty of people around the western end of Kentucky waiting to see what a consolidated football roster at the new school will look like. The Tigers were a right formidable, district one, 6A team this year on its own. Still, there are some pieces from the Colonel roster which

Hopkinsville, KY: Hopkinsville had a solid roster this year with some “Dudes” on it which made a tremendous difference in many of the Tigers’s games. Christian County struggled this past season but lost several players, in the offseason, to Hopkinsville via transfer in expectation of the two schools coming back together for 2027.

William Long (No. 7)
One guy about whom the consolidated school, the Christian County Tigers, look forward either is (or certainly should be) Deasian Harris. Harris looks the part, that is for sure.
We are going to venture a guess here, but we put Harris around 5’10,” weighing in the 190-pound ranged. We can tell you Harris sports some of the more impressive lifting and power numbers on the (soon to be) consolidated roster.
Harris had a very good year, especially playing behind a line which had freshman (Kam Wells, OL and Bryson Ford, TE) among its regular and more consistent players. Taking that into account, and the fact the Colonels ran for 899-yards on the year, Harris’s rushing for 584-yards on 109 carries with six (6) rushing TDs was right impressive.
What Harris did on defense was equally impressive. Harris registered 42-tackles, 14 of which were behind the line of scrimmage, with a pair of QB-sacks. The team had 54-TFLs all year and only seven (7) sacks so this is a player who accounted for a good deal of the production on both sides of the scrimmage line.
Hopkinsville is as good as any other team in 6A’s first district
Friday Night Fletch
Deasian Harris is a member of the powerlifting team and is among the football team’s most prolific lifter in the bench, squat, and the power clean.
Against Hopkinsville, perhaps the biggest game of the year for the Colonels in ’26, Harris was particular potent. Against the Tigers, Harris gained 82-yards from scrimmage, scored a rushing TD, and registered eight (8) tackles with a TFL. We call that coming up big for the team’s biggest game, a trait shared by big-timers!
We don’t know what the future holds for Harris as the rosters prepare for consolidation. It will be a hard and bitter pill for sworn enemies to disavow age-old prejudices in favor of comity and uniting against new foes, new enemies. We do know this, the Tigers may find some truffles hidden amongst the roots of the Colonel’s former football roster. They may find some next-level type kids to utilize.
We believe Deasian Harris will be among the most precious of those yet to be discovered treasures. We believe Harris has “next level” ability and potential.
Identifying a weapon like Deasian Harris should certainly help get the Christian County Tigers ready for the challenges ahead. That is why Deasian Harris, is our Lasaters Coffee & Tea, Wake Up and Smell the Coffee Player of the Week.

That being said, we feel it is high time for people around Hopkinsville, KY to take notice of this outstanding (future) Tiger team and some of its outstanding performers. Hey Christian County Tigers, as far as Deasian Harris is concerned; it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee!
In an effort to help this prospect’s continued development, Deasian Harris may go, this Friday (November 21, 2025), to any of our area locations and be served a free drink of his choice and free breakfast or other sandwich/food item.
