@WilliamTrusse20 from @SouthWarrenFB is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @MaxPreps @KyHighFootball

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank player of the week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Today we honor ’23 DB, William Trussell, from Bowling Green, Kentucky’s South Warren High School. Trussell’s South Warren High  is very close to three very well respected members of the Independence Bank family. There is a branch on 2415 Nashville Road; one on 1950 Scottsville Road; and a third on 877 Fairview Avenue in the Williamsburg Square.

Get on by one of the  Bowling Green Branches today and see our friends. Learn why Independence Bank‘s products, people, and services have started a revolution in the Kentucky banking industry.

We love versatility around Independence Bank and wish to celebrate those outstanding young people who show themselves to be versatile. Today’s recipient is the very picture of versatility.

Trussell is a star in Lacrosse. It is our understanding the young man plays midfielder which is quite a difficult task in Lacrosse.

The midfielder is considered by many to be the backbone of any lacrosse team. Good midfielders need speed, stamina, hustle, and determination.

They are required to play both defense and offense. In addition, the middies are largely responsible for a key aspect of the game – transition.

It is interesting Trussell has demonstrated his speed, stamina, hustle, and determination in the Spartan’s defensive third level. Russell had 31-tackles in ’21, chipped in with a tackle for loss, and collected 3-INTs to finish second on the defense in that statistical category. We seem to recall Trussell picking three passes in ’20 too.

Of course, his teammates and he did do something in ’21 they didn’t do in ’20. They won the Class 5A football title in ’21. The plucky, tough, little DB along the defensive third level was a big reason why.

Congratulations to William Trussell for his Revolutionary Play this past season which earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky…your friends at Independence Bank.
