Well with the performances we are regularly seeing around Kentucky these days, it was bound to happen. We have a week we had to give out two awards. We got special permission to do it this one time so don’t be thinking this will become a “regular thing.” Matt Anderson is a top-flight sophomore RB whose performance Friday night was unbelievable. Anthony Johns is a hulking OL who also plays defense for a team which took down the defending state champion and top ranked team, Somerset, on this past Friday night. The game was in Somerset. @DCHS_Football called us to task for omitting this prospect from our KPGFootball Freshman All-State football team. This kid could have made the team if he had gotten more opportunities and entered the lineup faster. Still, Daviess County has a point about it being hard to break the lineup in 6A football as a freshman and Parm’s being one of 2023’s very best prospects at the RB-position. One thing is for certain, we got our eyes on the young man going forward. You should too. HB.
Here is the KPGFootball Freshman All-State offense. The selection committee is still working on the other side of the football and the sophomore team. We decided to go ahead and drop the units piece-meal. We know there are people wanting to see this. You had to be a subscriber to nominate. Membership has certain privileges.
