We bet you didn’t know a Kee Klamp is a real thing. It is a galvanized, steel pipe fitting with thread-less connections used to create pipe hand railing and other pipe-based structures. We heard a player described by a coach who had offered him as a “Football Playing Jesse.” We looked that term up and, what do you know, it really is a thing. A “Football Playing Jesse” is a guy who may not be the right frame, may be a tad small, or a tad slow, or whatever but is just a guy who “does it” when he gets o the field between the lines and under the lights. Today we feature a kid who is as Football Playing of a Jesse as any kid in the KHSAA. Cody Gibson is a good looking OL prospect from George Rogers Clark High in Winchester, KY. Gibson is 6’3,” weighs 255, with good length, good feet, and with a 295-pound bench and a 225-pound power clean, the kid has good strength and explosion which only figure to improve. This is a ’26 kid we expect to see some college programs get after. Gibson list DL among his positions, though he has mostly been a one-platoon guy along the offensive front. Enjoy this feature about a kid whose performance made the unbearable heat a tad more bearable and who hopes his performance brings comfort to the home fans around Winchester, KY this upcoming Fall. Brian Crawford is a specimen. He is also about to be a junior. Why did he only get in one varsity game a year ago? We don’t know.
