The Independence Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week Award is among the commonwealth’s oldest and most respected weekly awards. Of course, Mr. Football is the ultimate award for any high school player in Kentucky to win. It is a huge honor just to be in the running. This week’s Revolutionary Player has been named to the preseason “Watch List” for Mr. Football. That is quite an honor. So is winning this. The details about why he has been so honored by us today is within this feature. Enjoy and join us next week as we award another distinction to another worthy middle or high school player. HB.

This week’s “Revolutionary Player of the Week” is St. Xavier’s Micah Carter. The 6-5, 250-pounder is one of Kentucky’s very best at his position in either the ’23 class or any other. He already has an impressive list of offers and won the Defensive MVP of the EKU Big Man Challenge this past Saturday. Congratulations to Carter and join us again a week from today when we award this to another fine recipient. HB.

@ArmonTucker from @TrinityHSFB is this week’s @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @trinitysports @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

Trinity has before complained we don’t cover them sufficiently. We would beg to differ as we have feature quite a few of its primetime players through the years but we probably don’t write about Kentucky’s most talented roster as much as we could. Of course, we can’t just perpetually feature one team, unless their hiring. Anyway, this kid here will play big-time, college football because of his speed, regardless of what he does or doesn’t do on the football field. Good thing he is good on the football field too. Enjoy the feature and join us next week as we award this to another worthy player. HB.

@Jaxonpanariello from @StXTigersFB is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

Here is a superstar who has already found the top of the leader board in numerous statistical categories for Louisville St. Xavier’s defensive unit in ’20 while only a sophomore. Guess what, he played as a freshman too, something which “never happens” to hear people talk. This kid here will be a household word across Kentucky before the coming season has expired. If we learn to spell “Panariello” all of our collective IQs will increase too. Won’t that be swell? Join us again next week as we crown another lucky Revolutionary Player of the Week. HB.

@Sahvonhines2 (’23) from @SrHighFootball is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

Sahvon Hines is a player we have before covered when he was an All-American in middle school. We told you then he was going to be a terror off the edge for the Red Devils one day. Well,…got this one right! Enjoy this feature on one of ’23s very finest DEs in all of Kentucky. Join us again next week as Independence Bank crowns another Revolutionary Player of the Week. HB.

@treymann_1 (Trey Sedgwick, c/o ’26 WR) is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball @KYFUTURESTARS @TNFutureStars

This week’s Revolutionary Player is one we had the pleasure of watching in the recent Tennessee/Kentucky Future Stars Classic. We believe he had the best game turned in by a WR at his stage of development we have ever before seen. That is mighty high praise indeed. Join us again next week as we award this very prestigious award to another outstanding recipient. HB.

It is time, once again, to award the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. We have a real good one for you today as we highlight one of ’25s elite third level defenders. Javion Wallace is a corner who is physical with a capital “P.” It won’t take too long for him to find the field even playing for one of Kentucky’s more talent-laden rosters. Enjoy this look at this young superstar and join us again a week from today where we will do this once more. HB.

@Zack7Claudio, c/o ’22, from @FranklinCoHS is the @1776Bank Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

June 18, 2021 Henry Lyon 0

We thought we would stick around the Frankfort area and feature a young man whose ’20 performance was, frankly, incredible. If Zach Claudio could replicate his ’20 numbers with similar numbers in ’21 we could be looking at a “Mr. Football” candidate. Enjoy this look at an exceptional performer and join us a week from today when we feature another outstanding player. HB.

Class of ’24, Hunter Monroe from @OCathFootball is this week’s Revolutionary Player of the Week. @minguabeefjerky @PrepSpin @KyHighFootball

This week’s Revolutionary Player is a prime example of the level of production some programs are getting from first-year players. By first-year players we are referencing freshmen and not players who have been seasoned on the JV field. It truly is remarkable what guys like this week’s recipient have been able to accomplish. Should be fun watching this guy continue to develop and compete. Enjoy the feature and join us next week as we reward another worthy player. HB.

We have been focusing on the young Kentucky players who braved the challenges presented this past weekend at the prestigious Appalachia Prep Combine in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Young Jerrick Williams, from Owensboro High School was among their number. Enjoy this look at a kid who figures to frame out to the edge if his present growth rate continues as long as it appears it will. Enjoy the feature and join us again next week as we anoint another worthy recipient. HB.
