Young Kentucky interior big showed what he had this past weekend at the Appalachia Prep Combine

There is no better time than the present to anoint another Independence Bank Player of the Week. Independence Bank is proud to sponsor a weekly article highlighting players in the areas where Independence Bank flourishes who embody the same type of revolutionary service to their respective football teams which has made Independence Bank unique and special in the banking industry.

Independence Bank has a goal of achieving everyday excellence, and this week we are focusing on a player whose performance exceeded expectations in 2020 and who will almost certainly be relied upon by Owensboro (Senior High) this coming ’21 season. Today, we are focusing on Class of 2024, Center/Guard, Jerrick Williams from Owensboro (Senior) High School.

Jerrick Williams, highlights

Williams’ Owensboro (Senior) High School is located right down the road from 3 Independence Bank branches on 2425 Frederica Street, 2465 W. Parrish Avenue, and 3228 KY-54, respectively. Get on by and visit the most rapidly growing bank in the commonwealth of Kentucky, Independence Bank. Independence Bank has started a revolution in the banking industry.

We have been focusing attention on participants in this past weekend’s Appalachia Prep Combine (APC). It is vitally important for Kentucky kids to garner attention at events like the APC as Kentucky’s reputation as a “basketball state” hampers some kids’ abilities to get recruited.

One kid who took full advantage of the opportunities the APC affords was Owensboro’s Jerrick Williams. Williams is a young big, at 6-2, 260-pounds, who plays along the entire OL at either guard and center. It can be difficult to garner much attention in there amongst the big uglies.

Williams showed this weekend he could stand up to the rush from some of the finest college prospects playing along the defensive interior the region has to offer. Needless to say he will be showing a lot of teams in Kentucky’s Class 5A much of what he learned this weekend.

Congratulations to Jerrick Williams, both for his Revolutionary Play at the ’21 APC and that which is to come in 2021’s fall football season, all of which has earned him this week’s recognition from the fastest growing bank in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, your friends at Independence Bank.
